Not very imaginative ideas
I bought this book as my daughter loves Hama beads and likes to make things. I was a bit disappointed by the contents of the book. The designs inside are very simple to say the least and on occasions look nothing like what they are meant to show. The sunflower looks more like a tulip. So why not call it that.Having said this my daughter loves the bee design inside and already made 4 herself. She has just turned 3. So for the very young the designs are very easy with very few beads needed and are appropriate. However I think a 4 year old will find them boring and be better off getting ideas of the Perler.com website which has FREE designs on it or the Hama Imagination books for Maxi designs.I paid very little money for this and got the 600 beads, the plastic square and ironing paper so it was a Bargain just for the beads.

big enough for little hands
my daughter age 3 loved this. her attention span is limited to one picture at a time but once i worked out you inserted the guide into the book and you could see the pattern underneath it was easier for me to leave her with it and for her to follow the shape. we recived it as a gift, i would buy this for other children

Wow!
Just received this as a gift for a 3 year old girl. It looks great, loads of lovely beads on the front, some great simple patterns and really attractively presented. Will certainly be ordering more chicken socks!

No toddler meltdown and no mess!
I bought this for my 3-year old son as a rainy day holiday activity and he loved it. He had previously made melty bead pictures with much smaller, and more fiddly, beads and he had found it fustrating. However the bigger beads and the clever see-through bead board and templates meant he was able to work solo. He thoroughly enjoyed making all the melty bead objects in the book and used up all 600 beads in the space of 2 afternoons. I am now ordering a refill of beads and several more of these as birthday presents for his friends.

My son loved it
My son, who is five, was given this book on a thursday and had used all the beads by Friday lunchtime. Ideal for a rainy day. He usually has no patience with fiddly things but as we had to do this together he throughly enjoyed it.
