Good value
Our apartment has hard floors, but we got this primarily to clean our one 8x10 area rug that gets covered in pet hair from our medium-hair cat and short-hair dog. 5 stars from me because it works as advertised. It's not the best vacuum in the world--but I knew that up front when I only had to pay $78 for it. It does a good job cleaning the one 8x10 area rug in our apartment, but I don't know if I'd trust it if we had 800sqft of carpet to vacuum regularly. When we use the attachments to suck up pet hair from corners it doesn't fill the air with the nasty stuff that comes out of our shopvac. I clean it out after every use, including blowing out the "wind tunnel" parts with compressed air, and I think that has helped preserve its suction. We haven't had any problems with clogs, and it keeps our rug looking good.

some changes from older models
My second wind tunnel, this version they cheapened up the rollers and moved the on/off switch and got rid of the self winding cord. Still works like my old one. They should lower the prices when they cheap in things up.

I love this
works great. a little hard to push around because of strong suction but not impossible. It is a little heavy. Well worth the money

Disappointed.
UPDATE. I purchased this vacuum on August 23rd 2017. Today is January 26th 2018. I began to vacuum my living room carpet and after 2 minutes, the vacuum just turned off. I thought the plug fell out. No it wasn’t the plug. I thought maybe it was the outlet. It wasn’t the outlet either. I thought maybe I blew a fuse. Nope. Wasn’t the fuse. I tried 3 other outlets and it still would not go on. The container was empty because I had emptied it before use. Nothing was clogging the suction. I don’t know what happened. It worked fine for the 5 months I had it and I only vacuum 1 to 2 times a week. I have no pets so I don’t have to constantly vacuum. It’s just broken and that’s my review. It wasn’t a great vacuum but it was affordable and normally I would say you get what you paid for but this wasn’t exactly a cheap vacuum. So here I am today looking for a new vacuum and I’m going to spend some extra coin in doing so. I don’t recommend this vacuum. There are a lot better ones out there that will not break on you after 5 months.

A year later, still going strong.
A year later, still going strong. No, it's no Dyson, but when you don't have a Dyson budget, this will do just fine. I am still absolutely appauled (as well as completely satisfied) with seeing how much dust ends up in the cannister. This is a powerful little vaccum and has been working great in our apartment. We have 2 kids and a non-shedding dog and a non-shoe wearing household and this vaccum STILL picks up tons of dirt generated. It's actually motivated me to vacuum more often just for the weirdly satisfying glee I get from looking at how much dust it grabs from our carpet.CONS: Not so good with hardwood floors, even on the lowest setting.

Powerful but impossible to empty/clean
This vacuum cleaner is POWERFUL. The suction is really impressive, even while using the tools and extensions. I was horrified by the amount of dust and hair that it was able to yank out of my carpeted floors. For the price I was very happy with the performance of the vacuum- that is, until I was done vacuuming and tried to empty it.To empty the vacuum cleaner you are instructed to simply place the dust bowl over a garbage can and release. SO much dust and hair was still stuck in the vacuum, and even after fishing it out with my hand there was a lot of dust stuck too high up to reach. I tried sticking the dust bowl into a plastic bag and shaking it to see if that got more dust out, but unfortunately all that did was cake the outside in dust, which I then needed to clean off without accidentally knocking any onto my cleaned floor.I want to love this vacuum cleaner especially for the price, but if emptying it makes as big a mess on my floors as i had before I cleaned then is it really worth it?
