These roof rails were surprisingly sturdy, well designed and constructed, and not as expensive as others with less capacity. They appear a bit beefier than other models, and rightfully so for the capacity at which they are rated (260lbs.). And I think they enhance the look of my car. Installation was easy and straight forward per the instructions. I did find it quicker to use a ratchet on the end caps, but the tools included in the kit would have worked just fine. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting higher capacity and attractive roof rails. I may have more to say after I've had these for a while. PS: I am a manufacturing quality engineer by trade.

High quality roof rack at a fraction of the price! Very easy to complete assembly and fit-up to my vehicle, and very secure once installed! Even more value with the locking covers, which are an extra cost on other name-brand cross bars. Definitely recommended!

Installed on my x3 today. Looks great but not sure about the noise at around 60 mph. There is a slight whistling sound coming out from the roof. I might have to adjust the spacing between the blades to reduce the amount of noise. Will update more details when I start using them for cargo box and kayaking gear. The only pain was to assemble the whole kit as it came in multiple parts. The tiny screws and useless alem key was a bit of a pain to adjust the spacing for the mounting mechanism.

Very impressed with these crossbars. They are very well made, and the installation is pretty easy, if you carefully follow the instructions. The instructions are well illustrated and printed clearly. I especially like the inclusion of the double ended hex socket wrench. It appears that a lot of the negative reviews are the result of not keeping the bolts loose during installation or putting the wrong bars on the front or back. These crossbars are way better than paying $400 for the factory bars.

First, it came in a box big enough to put me in. Huge. And when I opened it the actual box was less than 10% of the size of the box. No idea why.Me and my infinite wisdom decided to install immediately. This thing took me almost an hour to install. First rack most of that hour. It tells you “hold down the side while screwing the bolts…”. Right. Just “hold it down”. It took all had not to jump on my roof and use my entire body weight to “just hold it down”. My shoulders feel like I either dislocated them or worked out for 4 hours straight - just my shoulders. The leverage you need to “just hold down” the side attachments is way more than someone’s body weight and as you’re installing, the roof is right around your shoulders. I used a ladder to get more leverage but still nearly blew out my shoulders.Final result: more bulky than I expect but looks good. And for the sheer strength it took to get these on, they’d better be as strong as they should be. And when I sell the car, they’re going with it. I’m not touching these things again.If you’re expecting easy, wrong product. If you’re expecting good value, I think so. I haven’t put a Christmas tree or a bale of hay on it yet. But the price was decent.
