It works but not without some knowledge of its design
Firstly this worked for me, no issues at all but I can see where it can go wrong. The monitor is made of two parts, a removable, reusable sensor and a charging communication base. You stick the sensor on the subject (it doesn’t have to be a child btw) and it will read the temperature and send this back to the base. It does that via a very low power version of Bluetooth (BLE). This can be easily shielded from the base even by the human body so don’t hide the sensor too deep in the armpit because that will stop it speaking to the base.Next, the base takes those readings and sends them to your phone over regular Bluetooth, this allows a greater distance between your phone and the patient. Keep the base near the patient, not the 1,5m it suggests but on a table by the bed, etc.As the base uses regular Bluetooth it only travels up to 30m but more like 10m and probably not very well through walls, dry wall maybe, brick probably not. If you have Bluetooth headphones you’ll know what I mean.Keep this in mind and it should work fine. The app asks for age but doesn’t seem to do anything with it other than use it to calculate the right temperature for that age. The app colours for cold, healthy, hot, etc. Only seem to work corr3ctly for a very young baby, if your child is over 3 years or so the colours should be ignored. Also find a chart for armpit temps as these are different from the more common oral temps, and check the patient against those. It works, if your respectful of the technology, yes it has a way to go before it’s foolproof but there you go!I’m happy, mine was spot on

Great product that gives you piece of mind We bought ...
Great product that gives you piece of mindWe bought Feversmart recently and used it last night for the first time. The product worked fantastically to monitor my daughter's temperature throughout the whole night. Her temp was monitored the whole time, while she was sleeping without me disturbing her to measure temperature in the middle of the night. I was also sleeping, as I knew that the App would alert me, if her temp would have risen. Eventually the alert came - so, it really worked - very handy. The App also has a medicine tracker - I knew immediately, whether it was time to give another dose of paracetamol. A real piece of mind and full control over the situation. Love it. Recommending this product to everyone. The piece of mind and control is worth the money.

Not perfect, but a good solution
Connection is not always stable, it loses it a lot, but as it is measuring continuously and reconnects again, it is not completely useless.Toddler doesn't like to have it stuck on, but usually forgets about it in a few minutes. Disturbs him much less than taking ear temperature.

Fever Smart just like it says
This is a brilliant way to monitor a child’s temperature. My child was very poorly during the start of lockdown and had a fever for 2 weeks. All through the night getting up to check the temperature was tiring, until I brought the fever smart. It’s easy to use and very accurate, you just have to check your phone to keep an eye on the temperature. Comfortable for the child and doesn’t disturb them throughout the night either.Would recommend it. Very helpful.

Waste of money
Do not buy . Its pointless it doesn't do what it says it does and tons of issues . Just as others have complained about It wont stay connected ( tried 3 different phones ) gone through phone setting on each device and its nothing todo with the devices . clearly issue is well known that this device is flawed as contacted customer service and the first thing they did was ask me for form to be filled out listing all common issues with the device including constantly disconnecting and many other issues . I Cant get help from anyone and thanks to amazon changing my order from sold and shipped by amazon to sold and shipped by a third party instead i cant return it and get a refund .

Peace of mind..
Bought this last week and was delivered the very next day. My two year old son gets pretty bad fevers that spike late at night and mean i spend half the night getting up just to check he's ok. After a couple of nights using this over the weekend i am very impressed... I checked his fever throughout the night without having to disturb him (and without me getting out of bed!) Its also useful to see the log of his medicine, and interesting to see how his temperature drops on the graph after he has had it.In all, a great bit of kit and simple to use after spending a few minutes on the set-up.

Very useful but not completely reliable
The idea is great and the design works well. Once configured on your phone (turning off battery monitor settings etc) then the devices connection is very stable. The android software itself is a little glitchy sometimes, crashing and losing profiles only for them to reappear again later - this can be frustrating but it's only happened twice. The sticky pads seem perfect for sensitive skin and don't leave any residue. Replacement pads are easy to purchase, they sell them in Boots etc now if you need new ones in a hurry. The pads are a bit expensive for what they are though.Reasons for the 3 star rating relates to the accuracy and app features. Overall the accuracy seems ok but it does really depend on positioning and arm placement. When the arm is down and it's positioned well then the temperature readings match in ear thermoscan readings. The second problem is the app and alerts. There isn't a way to set alerts for moderate temperature or green only red alerts which is 38 degrees or more. With it sometimes not being fully accurate it would be nice to have the option of alerts for all readings. It's a great device to have a saves disturbing your little ones in the evening or when napping but we still don't have enough trust to rely on this completely through the night and still set alarms to do additional readings with in ear thermometers.Technology is lacking in the health monitoring industry, so it's nice to see products like this being developed and accredited. We have used this device now a few times over 6 months and will certainly continue to use it despite its downfalls.
