Excellent board
I've been using evga video cards for years, and not long ago I upgraded my wife's computer with the model down from this...and was very impressed. It doesn't have every bell and whistle of the more expensive boards, but rarely do I need most of those, and honestly my computer needs to work, not give me a light show. but it doe have headers for led lights...which I haven't used so cant say how well the work. This is probably going to be my mb brand till I find a good reason to change, very solid and I have no complaints with it.As a side note, the last time I had to call evga support (for a video card) I actually got a person I could not only understand, was a breeze to deal with. Good to know if you need support they are good.

EVGA says it all
It's an evga product.Best supportAmazing productsGreat qualityGood features.I've been through a lot of mobo companies, and some is a hit or miss especially when it comes to onboard sound card. This board is spot on.the sound card is shielded properly resulting in no static background noise when using a headphone. All in all great board.Just beware the manual states only certain m.2 SSD is compatible!

Good board but I wouldn't recommend it for new builders.
This board is great, and has some weight to it. Feels very solid and seems to overclock fairly well. My only complaint is how hard it is to setup an NVME SSD. First it disables two of your sata ports, when I read that info on the board I was like okay, then I install everything and boot up the system and it can't see my ssd. It took me about 40mins to figure out the cause of the issue and for some stupid reason I had to switch the drive into legacy mode.... On a system with an 8700k and a brand new fing samsung nvme ssd. The tech support at evga couldn't even figure out what settings in the bios would make it work in non legacy mode.

Top quality, engineering is very well, not fancy, really good board!
If you are looking for a board that is very good or excelling at every single aspect. Than look no more. This board is price/performance king especially if you find it at the 130-150$. And very very good at 170-180$.Lets go into highlights, what is different on this;->There is no fancy stupid plastic cover for the ports instead, there is a cover which is connected to the VRM heatsinks, operating as a heat spreader and looking very good.->There is Digital code display for bootup error cods.->Extra power supply input doe PCI-E slots, placed terrific.->Very good heatsinks for the VRM and chipset, not fancy but very big surface area.->Metal eched pci-e and memory slots are standard for high grade and on this as well.->3 M.2 slots, 2 for nvme. Take care SATA port limitations when in use.->Bios reset button on backplate!!!->More than enough 8+3 phase VRM for reasonable overclocks. It means for with little luck, 90% you can get the same overclocking result with this board like the most expensive kings, azimuts, godlike etc named ridiculously priced motherboards...->Tests show very very good memory bandwith with overclocking.->Boxing and materials quality is topnotch!

Great BUT - CAREFUL with 9th gen
I bought this with a i7-9700k, heads up, this doesn't have the bios for the newest cpu's. I had to drop an older cpu into the motherboard, update the bios, then install the new cpu. After that, it works great, there's great spacing for all the plugs, the RAM clicks are really satisfying.I know the cpu error was my fault, so I'm still giving it 5 stars, the cpu lock arm is realllllly tight at 1st, it felt like I was going to break the arm when i installed it.Other than that, so far, so good.

Buyer beware
I've been using EVGA components for about ten years and I've never had a failure. Well, I can't say that any more. Turns out I've just been extraordinarily lucky. The new board I received had a single pin in the CPU socket bent. The pins are so small and close together I didn't notice it at first. In fact, I never noticed it. RAM slot 4 did not work, it never occurred to me that it was anything wrong except for that memory slot. I RMA'd the motherboard, received the new one, returned the original. A few days later I get a rather blunt email saying that since I bent a pin in the CPU socket they were voiding my warranty, canceling the RMA, returning the original board to me, and keeping my collateral. The bent pin is completely surrounded by undamaged pins (see the picture). There is absolutely nothing I could have done to bend only a single pin. The socket is approximately 2 inches in a side with 1151 pins. I'm not sure I own anything small enough to bend a single pin in the middle. Around the edges maybe, a dozen pins maybe, one pin, in the middle? No way! EVGA told me it is their policy to automatically void the warranty for bent pins. They absolutely refused to even acknowledge that I could have received it this way. In fact any time I mentioned it, they suddenly went deaf. So if a board leaves the factory with a bent pin the customer is on the hook for it because they will not acknowledge the possibility and they will not repair it.The person handling my RMA told me that if I could straighten the pin and provide proof that it was straight and the board was operating properly, they would reinstate my warranty. He suggested I try a small pair of tweezers.A totally unsatisfying experience. In the past building a computer has always been fun for me, now it's an anxiety filled process.ADDITION------------I just received the motherboard back from EVGA, the one I supposedly bent a single pin on. There are now multiple pins in the socket bent. The picture I posted with this review initially came from the email where EVGA accused me of bending the pin and telling me they wouldn't fix it, were voiding the warranty, were retaining my collateral and were returned the defective motherboard to me.They apparently were pretty sure I couldn't fix it because they kept ALL of the accessories that came with the motherboard. When I returned the board to them all the accessories were in their original packages and completely untouched. I returned it will all accessories because the board they sent me was brand new and unopened. So I opened it, removed the new motherboard, inserted the defective board and returned it.When I contacted EVGA about the missing accessories:"...we always tell customers to not include any accessories with the RMA...", well to me that would mean I was stealing a second set of accessories. So not only is customer service something foreign to EVGA, theft isn't. As I have read of other customers having virtually the same experience with Z370 boards and bent pins, it seems to be a recurring problem. EVGA, however seems to be the only motherboard maker that tells customers to F...off.Since I refuse to just cross my fingers when I order a component, I'll be using another company's components from now on.
