Merrell Women's Dassie Buckle Slip-on Shoe

I tend to wear only open-toe shoes since my feet have spread wider from doing years of yoga and I can't tolerate having my toes cramped. I'm so glad I found these for winter in S. F. where its chilly. They are so comfortable! They are well made. They look great with pants, they're cute, but not particularly sexy due to the boxy toe. They work for me! I need to run around a lot at work, and be on my feet all the time. I wore them all day the first day, once I put in arch supports. Really a joy to wear, light, and kind of bouncy. Note: I had to send them back to get a half size larger, especially since a wanted a roomy feel in the toes. They have little support for arches so since mine are high, I put my own arch supports under their in-sole and that made them perfect. The fact that they are light doesn't mean weak or poorly made, but their lightness helps you save your energy, not dealing with a heavy weight to lug around all day.Update: A year and some months after purchase, yesterday, two people remarked that they like them. They're so comfortable sometimes when I come home I don't bother to take them off to put on my slippers. They have a remarkable bouncy feel when I walk that adds some cheer to my steps!

This is a great shoe! I've always worn a wide width shoe, and I love Merrell shoes. I wish these had come in a wide width, but to compensate, I ordered a half size larger. They started out a little tight (width-wise), but by the end of the first day, they seem to have stretched a bit and were very comfortable. I'm not sure why Merrell has stopped producing wide-widths in all of their shoes. But, with a little effort breaking them in, these fit just fine and are very comfortable for working on your feet all day, as I do. And, I love the look with long pants.

I usually wear a 9 and going by the review of this shoe I bought my usual size. It seemed a bit shorter than I usually wear but I have some numbness in my feet so I could not tell if it was the shoe or my socks were being pulled very tight as I slipped the shoes on. I tried them on without socks and realized that was the problem which is complicated buy my high arches. Once I realized that I figured out a fix to keep the sock from pulling so tight. If you have high arches you might want to buy 1/2 size up, but for me I think a 9.5 would be too large so I am keeping these.The shoes are light weight and comfortable, the toe box is roomy. I wish the suede ones were still available. I would buy another pair.

The fit is perfect! My left foot is a little wider than my right so It was a little tight at first. But, after about 4hrs of breaking them in, the leather has molded nicely to fit me. There isn’t any arch support. I have flat feet so arch support isn’t an issue for me.I’m taking off one star for the color. I ordered the espresso. Indoors the shoe color is perfect. Outside it takes on a grey/purplish hue that I thought was strange.Comfortable casual shoes, I recommend them.

These shoes are incredibly light, with good cushioning on the foot bed, though not a great deal of support otherwise. They feel like slippers, but you can walk in them much more. The elastic gore with the buckle gives you a bit more control of the fit that just a slip-on. I do have to use my finger around my heel to slip them on, though. I have a high instep and wide-ish feet and had no problem with too much pressure at any point from the moment I put them on. I wore them twice and then wore them in Marrakech, where I got lost in the Medina and ended up walking for hours (quite happily). My feet were not at all sore when I finally found my way back to my riad (hotel)! Highly recommend for comfort. The look is far from cool or funky, maybe bordering on comfort-shoe-middle-age, but the red color, which is warm and not too bright, gives them a little something, and they could pass for more outdoorsy than stodgy . . . or so I like to think!

I love these shoes in every way. The size, color and style were exactly what I was looking for.I ordered this pair in a size 9 which is my usual size and they fit perfectly. I wear these shoes everyday for work. I walk an average 3 to 5 miles each day. The shoes have held up extremely well. I am hoping to purchase another pair as inevitably, I will wear these shoes out due to the use they get.

I work in a hospital on my feet all day and they are so comfortable I barely feel like I have a shoe on. They provide support and are fit perfectly. I wear them year round and they keep my feet dry even in the rain. This is my 2nd pair as a backup since I beat this pair up over the past 3 yrs. and they are still going strong.

I LOVE these shoes! I was going to be traveling to New York City for several days each week for 8 weeks and wanted a shoe where I could do a ton of walking that would 1) be comfortable, 2) not wear out and 3) look decent. These are more dressy than like a lands end mule and are way more comfortable. I walked for about 3 miles each day and stood on my feet for about 5 hours each day, 3-4 days a week for 8 weeks and my feet never hurt. I never got any blisters and the shoes still look like new. I could not be happier with a pair of shoes. I should mention that I am a half size and did need to order *up*.

Love these shoes! They are so comfy and have a good, clean casual look to them.It's a look above running shoes, and below dressy. I tried to order another pair but was told they were out of stock in my size until August.
