Comedy Gold!
Trailer Park boys has been sadly missing from our shores, it was shown on Paramount for a while but even then it was shown late at night and wasn't particularly well advertised. In my opinion this one one of the saddest things that could have happened to telly!TPB is one of a kind, at first the premise might not seem up to everybody's liking, but with TPB the cast are so committed to the job that every single character is utterly believeable. TPB is also one of those programmes that isn't neccessarily laugh-out-loud funny all the time, however by the end of each episode it leaves you with a warm fuzzy feeling inside and an insatiable thirst for more.A word of warning to anyone easily offended though, TPB has some of the foulest language you'll ever hear on telly. This probably has something to do with it not being shown mainstream as half of the dialogue would have to be bleeped out! There is actually a point, in court no less, where Ricky is granted permission by the judge to smoke and swear as he lacks the ability to form a coherent sentence together without swearing and smoking. It's a trait you'll come to love in the character and his little *insights* to his life are absolutely fantastic! According to the rest of the characters, Ricky's brain doesn't work like other peoples. He's got lots of random thoughts floating about and through the use of swearing to link them together he is able to vocalise this internal thought processes, albeit in a utterly bewildered state most of the time, but the important thing is he actually makes a lot of sense! Rob Wells does this fantastically and it's amazing (after watching the extras) ust how much work he puts in to sounding *that* stupid. The other main protagonists are: the epitomy of coolness that is Julian, always (and I mean always) with a rum and coke in his hand. Bubbles - the loveable abandoned son who looks after the Trailer Parks army of kitties, lives in a (rather nice) shed and salvages shopping trolleys for a living. Mr Lahey - the trailerpark supervisor, ex cop with delusions of granduer and a drinking problem. Randy, the assistant Supervisor, who once was a male prostitute to fund his cheeseburger habit and "Randy doesn't wear shirts". J-Roc - whiteboy rapper with a knack for making a quick buck (putting on concerts, making low budget porn and he seems to have a lot of sources on the black market). And of course Corey & Trevor, like little puppies they do anything Ricky and co tell them too as they are so desperate to be liked by their idols and frequently take the fall for the other characters. The amount of changes in the story per season mean that every season brings something new to the show, although I won't ruin it. Do yourselves a favour, go out, buy a cheap multi regional dvd player and get your hands on this fantastic programme. You'll watch it again and again and never get bored. This, to you, I promise.

Canadian mockumentary television series
Trailer Park Boys is a popular Canadian mockumentary television series focusing on the misadventures of ex-convicts living in fictional Sunnyvale Trailer Park, which is located near Halifax, Nova Scotia. It premiered in April 2001. The show's creator and director is Mike Clattenburg.Shot COPS-style (cameraman's point of view), the low-budget program became something of a rarity in English Canada: a homegrown phenomenon. Characters, particularly "Bubbles", appear on novelty tee-shirts, the show's lead trio toured with Our Lady Peace, while currently they're on tour with Guns N' Roses, where you can see Bubbles sing his song "Liquor and Whores". They've also appeared in music videos with The Tragically Hip, while Bubbles has appeared with George Canyon and Snow, and they have been presenters at numerous award shows - always in character. The show has been a great success for the cable network Showcase, where it is the network's highest rated Canadian series. It airs in the United Kingdom and Spain on Paramount Comedy, in the Republic of Ireland on Channel 6 , in Iceland on Skjáreinn, in Australia on the Comedy Channel, in New Zealand on TV 2, in Israel on Xtra HOT, in the Netherlands on MTV Netherlands, in Denmark on DR2, in Portugal on SIC Radical and in Finland on Nelonen. In the United States, BBC America formerly aired a censored version of the show, but it is no longer part of their lineup.

Welcome to the park!
Buy this first before any other season, it sets out the story and gives you a great introduction to all the key characters.Season 1 is basically a very long introduction but even the first episode is tv gold!Season 2 is where everything starts to work together and you really start to get sucked into the whole TPB world.Big ideas, little brains is great. A must buy.

Trailer Park boys finally come to the UK!
Trailer Boys are about a couple of guys (Ricky and Julian) that are released from Jail and return back to the trailer park (in Nova Scotia) where they live. They meet up with thier buddy (Bubbles) who tries to prevent them from doing stupid things. With the help of a couple of kids from the trailer park, the series charts thier life back at the trailer park, with all trying to avoid and decieve the trailer park supervisor and is deputy (Mr Lahey and Randy).I first saw this series in Canada and laughed all the way through. If you like comedies like The Peep Show / Family Guy or My Name is Earl then you'll luv Trailer Park Boys.I'm glad we can buy this in the UK.

Incredible
Original, cult-making comedy. The start of a roller-coaster of nonsense from numbskulls with no brains. You'll love it. Buy, and you'll forever be blowing Bubbles.
