I don't give 5 stars lightly.Better than pictured, and I can't wait to wear them to work tomorrow. They gemstones are cut in a way that picks up light without being gaudy or overdone, and the hooks are also pretty (not the standard bead on fish hook design I've gotten from other places.) It doesn't register as very green in my current light but I'm actually glad (it opens me up to more options in terms of what to wear them with.In my opinion, these would be great for work, moderately dressy cocktail parties or just jeans and a nice top out with some friends.The packaging was really very good. A ziploc bag containing a box with another zip bag and the earrings wrapped in tissue. Instructions for care printed on a paper (don't use abrasives to clean, don't use dip chemicals, etc.) and a hand-written "thank you!" on the back.Yup it was from Amazon. Yup, it shipped in one of their boxes. But the packaging and obvious care felt like it was from one of those all-too-few little independent stores with scarves and handmade jewelry, and perfume bottles and incense and candles and baskets.I'll be shopping from this seller again, for sure. ♥

Disappointed in the green amethyst stones. They are colorless no hint of green. They look like clear cut crystal only.
