Excellent filter housing. However, what it doesn’t tell you in the description is that it is only compatible with Lenox brand filter media/air filters. Other brand filters do not fit. The filter media thickness is actually 4.5” and not a full 5”, forcing you to buy Lenox filters. I made my own custom sheet metal filter guides so that I could use any brand 5” filter.

I like this unit so far. If you are looking at this with little knowledge of how to install it, even less HVAC-specific tools, and next to no knowledge of how to construct ducting, then you most certainly should get this installed professionally. I built plenum with ductboard for my install and it took me all day, still. I think this would be much easier to install with a sheet metal plenum, which you can get made for you and then take it back to your house for the install. That's what I'll do next time. This unit is really just a metal box used to house the media filter. The filtration seems to be excellent, and the airflow restriction seems to be very minor, if any. I'm really happy with the unit for the price, the replacement filters are priced well too. Just be sure you get into this knowing that it does not come with any installation materials, instructions, helpeful tips, mounting material, etc. This is really something an HVAC contractor would purchase and install with the help of his/her HVAC-specific tools.

I upgraded to this unit from a 20x1 Merv 1 filter to the 20x5 Merv 13 filter. I was able to get this installed in about 3hrs. Ripping out the old filter case, then cutting out a larger hole for the new filter case. I was also having problems with water pooling on the floor around the furnace and identified a clog problem with the water trap in the draining. Got that corrected as well and now have a nice dry floor and the new filter in place. Recommend silicone and Gorilla Tape to finish it off.

I like the housing, but the 5" filter is INCORRECT! The inside track dimension is 4-3/8" wide, so a 4" filter is most likely to fit.

Easy to install and so much better than the Trane CleanEffects we had installed. Our home is less than 8 years old, however we needed an air cleaner especially with my allergies. Hands down, LENNOX Healthy Climate will be installed anywhere we move. The quality is so excellent, I even had this unit installed in my parents home. They love it and their home simply feels fresh, while maintaining excellent air!

Well worth the time an money. Does a much better job of filtering overall and the install took only a couple hours.

This was installed with the new HVAC system. It has worked well for the last 8 years. But the Lennox X6675 Merv 16 filters are very expensive. As a alternate to the Lennox X6675 air filter, the Aprilaire #813 is about half the cost and a perfect fit. The only down side that it's rated at Merv 13.
