Pittosporum Elizabeth is a striking medium size bushy shrub prized for its glossy grey green variegated foliage that is edged with a Pink margin which becomes more pronounced in winter! A first class plant highly prized by gardeners and florists alike! In summer it often produces small deep purple Fragrent - Honey Scented flowers. A delightful plant which can be used in a mixed planting or as a stand alone specimen in the garden or can easily be grown in a pot. When growing in a pot or other container. Use a good quality John Innes compost as this plant will be there a long time and peaty types of compost eventually degrade and become too packed and choke the roots. Ensure you feed regularly as a hungry plant is a poor performer. We recommend Osmoscote pro 12-14 month applied in the early spring. One application gives all the nutrients the plant requires for the whole year. John Innes is a soils based compost. This plant is not as hardy as some and is best planted in a sheltered location especially in colder northern areas. If grown in a pot the compost should not be allowed to freeze. Hard pruning can be safely undertaken to control the size of the plant but must only be done when there is no danger of frost. For more in
