Not reliable
Didn't buy from amazon but AO don't sell this model anymore (wonder why!..) and I don't want anyone else to waste their money on this machine. It was great up til now but isn't 3 years old yet and the door lock mechanism has been temporamental for ages now. Would stop mid cycle as the door would unlock. Other times just wouldn't start a cycle because the door wouldn't lock. Decided instead of forking out almost the cost of the machine itself for a repair, we have bought an Indesit instead. Beko are notorious for being unreliable. Never again! If however, you want a cheap machine and are willing to have it last as long as the average mobile phone then this machine is great when it works and has good cycle options. I liked being able to put a quick 60 or 90 degree wash on when needed.

So far, so good...
"Awafulll"? What a wonderful helpful review that is - tells you so much you need to know! As this is a new purchase I can't comment on the longevity & reliability of the machine; it's literally just started on its 4th load. Perhaps the beauty salon just got unlucky (though Beko's customer service sounds woeful, it must be said). Anyway, this replaces an 11 year old Hotpoint and so far, so good.I have read reviews of this elsewhere that have complained it is noisy - it isn't. My old machine wasn't especially noisy & this is quieter. If you're finding it noisy, I suggest you check the feet & make sure you have the thing properly levelled. It has the usual range of different wash programmes, most of which (if you're like me) you will never use, but they are entirely flexible. Each has a default wash temp & spin speed which you can alter more or less as you please (personally, I almost always wash at 30C).The two pgms I have used so far are the short daily and the cotton eco (at 60C - I had some stuff in there that had got rather greasy - & at 30C). The short daily is for <2kg loads - done in 30 mins, excellent. The cotton eco is the longest wash cycle, but it's also the most power / water efficient. The machine is intelligent & adjusts itself to the load. So if you put more than 2kg in on the short pgm, alas, it will run for a lot longer! Equally though, it will adjust downwards. The moment you take the temp down from 60 to 40 on the cotton eco, the timer drops from 3:45 to 2:54 and, since there's only half a load in there, I expect it to shorten still further.I daresay all of this is no different from any other modern washing machine. After checking a few online reviews, this came out top or well in the budget section so I bought it. Wash quality is fine (greasy stuff now non-greasy!); the customer service from AO.com was excellent (wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again - they even delivered on a Sunday!). If it breaks down in 2.5 months, I'll be back to tell you, but otherwise... So far, so good!

BEWARE! Stopped working after 2. 5 months. ...
BEWARE! Stopped working after 2.5 months. As the washer was in a beauty salon Beko refused to send an engineers to repair, even though we would have paid for it.

Avoid at all cost not fit for purpose
I bought this washing machine from AOL less than18 months the motor stop working tried to get Beko & AOL to fix it but no, it's not fit for purpose as Beko know that it's a known fault with this model but both would like to charge me for call out fee or a warranties pack which is more of less the same price of the washing machine. So it back to trading standards who stated it should have last on average 5 /8 years. Do not buy from AOL or Beko as there really not interested.

Broke after a year
Our machine broke after 16 months. We do a wash once a week, so used it much less than your average household (average washing machine life expectancy is 8-11 years, by the way).Unsurprisingly, this broke just outside of the warranty period, so there was nothing Beko would do.When it broke, the drum just stopped spinning one day. After two different engineers came out (we've spent £175 so far), it turns out that the motor and the computer are BOTH broken, and the Beko-approved engineer said this is a KNOWN FAULT to Beko. We've invested in insurance with AO.com by this point (for £150) but the Beko engineer visit and the new parts would have added up to £240 so far if we hadn't. That's nearly the cost of a brand new machine!Prior to the second engineer (the Beko-approved one) coming out, I'd had a lot of arguments with Beko and they were incredibly hard to deal with, with the worst customer service I've experienced in a long time. And it turns out they would have known this was a common fault the whole time, but had not let on! They didn't do anything to help me, which is why I had to pick it up with AO.Avoid this machine - and probably all Beko machines (the first engineer, and my dad, both called them 'cheap Turkish rubbish') - like the plague. You'll end up forking out £100s more - just invest in a better quality more expensive machine from the start, and save yourself the pain of not being able to wash your clothes for two months in summer.
