Just to let others know, I ordered the 72" version, which was a really good price. I received a 24" instead, which is basically the same price as the 72" I ordered. So be aware if you see the great price on the 72" and think you will actually get it.I will say, it is straight and flat, considering the price paid. My straight edge rides along the printed/stickered measurements on the ruler face and the sides are mostly flat (a few thousandths of a gap here and there). But hey, I paid $17 for it so I can't really complain about the flatness of it.

I use this for Woodworking. I seems sturdy although the Aluminum edges can get dinged. It is also very easy to read. I do wish it were 2 1/2" or 3" wide and a little thicker for double duty use as a circular saw guide. Having said that it is a very nice and easy to read straight edge and far cheaper than the equivalent Stainless Steel models. Just watch edges when using as Katana or Chiburui practice.

I get it, these are not priced to have the Starrett accuracy but why would they even sell something this far off? Feels like they're selling out.

This ruler arrived on time. It is well made and very sturdy. I will be adding a no slip backing to it for better traction on smoother surfaces. Over all great product!

I needed a long straight edge and this worked great and also the numbers are easy to read.

I use this rule in my woodworking. I laid it up against my Starrett tri-square and was please to see that the rule was extremely accurate. I then set the rule on the table of my Saw Stop table saw and was pleased to see that the rule was also flat. The markings on the rule are not etched, which for me is not a problem. I wanted a 24" rule to help me in my layout work and this rule met my expectations and then some. I highly recommend it.
