Does this model come on automatically when the light is switched on?

It Does. But I also have an isolator switch for the fan so the light can be on without the extractor. Hope that helps.

Does this one have a 4" exhaust? And is the fan larger than 4"?

Yes the exhaust is 4" but am not sure what you mean about the fan....the overhaul fan is 7,5"x10" high and the exhaust hole is offset. Hope this is helpful.....Ken.
