Amateur diyer. Pictures are a tremendous help since at times it seems like I'm learning a new language. Book's layout made sense once I settled into it. Coupled with YouTube & probably a course at the local junior college, I plan to become a real DIYER someday 😎

I bought this for my 04 XC90 after being told a repair at the dealer would cost me upwards of $900! That was a price I couldn't justify paying when the part was only $100. That being said, I found this manual sold by Ripple Books and let me say....what a lifesaver! $1540 plus s&h, I stuck that repair bill to the dealer

As an amateur mechanic of just over 40 years and many many cars later, I am someone who does not like to be defeated by this insistence you have to get the car into the garage every time a warning light or a bulb need changing. This Haynes manual is typical from Haynes but the quality and content is less so. This is an essential must have sat alongside your tool box if you have an XC 60 or any other vehicle as it is full of 'good to knows' and will prevent you damaging items or panels. It will also help inform any decision making such as does it need a dealer mechanic, my local garage or vehicle specialist or my mate and me. Good detail well structured and laid out, sad it is now a paper back - it can't sit open on the manifold while I refer to the pages trying to remove a duff sensor or belt tensioner. Recommended.

Sadly I found the content weak and not as comprehensive as it should have been. Photos were inadequate and the description of adjustment of the parking brake was a good example of inadequate and confusing instructions

This is keeping my husband occupied as he finds out things that probably need doing to our CX90!
