Baby Einstein 5-in-1 Journey of Discovery Activity Gym and Play Mat, Ages Newborn Plus , 47x40x18 Inch (Pack of 1)

This is the 4th playmat I tried for my baby. The first was very similar from Bright Starts which I loved, but have to my mom to use at her house since she watches my son a lot. I wanted something different for my house and so I bought several playmats until I found this one which I love. I wanted something that was big enough for my baby to roll around in and that he would not outgrow quickly. The mat is a great size (0ne of the biggest I have seen) and the toys and print on the mat keep him occupied. I also love the balls that come with it for him to play with later on. Love that the sides fold up, which saves space if you want it to and also allows for different types of play. Very easy to clean, easy to assemble and move. I do wish the mat was a little softer and thicker-I end up placing a soft blanket underneath. I think given the cost, size, and variety this playmat offers, it is a great buy

As much as I love to hold my baby, I can’t do it all the time she is awake. I bought this gym and a Graco swing that plays tunes and nature sounds. Why I liked this gym:1. The size of the mat. It is pretty large. Some other play mats were only about 30 inches long. I don’t want my baby to grow out of her gym in a month.2. The play mat is decorated with a world map and colorful characters traveling in different vehicles. We will use this mat to learn continents when my daughter gets a bit older.3. Dangling toys are made of plastic and washable materials. I would like to be able to clean toys that my baby pulls into her mouth.4. The gym can be converted into a ball pit. It’s like two baby products in one.I wasn’t disappointed when the gym arrived. It was easy to put together without the instructions. It’s pretty compact when all sides are folded up. The musical toy required three AAA batteries and a screwdriver. This toy is a little bit heavy. I replaced the link it came with with a hook from a different baby product.

Such good value! Bright, clean colors, easy to set up. This comes with a good assortment of attachments, plus the overhead supports have extra loops to attach your own toys if you want. A favorite has been the musical air balloon that plays when it gets wiggled! It encourages motor skills! The bag of colorful balls will be fun as baby grows! The balls fit through the ring holes which will be a fun activity when my LO can sit on his own and hold a ball. I got it when my baby was born, replacing a hand-me-down that I had for my older kids, and so glad I found this one! Good learning gym for so many ages and stages. The map design on the mat has been fun for my older kids (7 &4), too! They also like to crawl under and share the space and talk with baby when he is looking at the mirror and other toys. Would be a great gift. I can’t say enough how much I like it.Only question is I’m not sure if the mat is machine washable.

Sure, there's a mat and the baby can play on it/in it. The plastic hangers can double as bracelets for 1 and 2 year olds. If that were all it, I wouldn't bother rating it.It has the single best music maker of all of the baby products. I have so many stupid music makers. The cube. The truck. The Einstein thing. The food pedals. They're all good. But this one is so good, I'm literally not going to ever give it away. The music is CATCHY as anything. I literally find excuses to have this playing.Worth the full price *just* for the music maker. Everything else that comes with it is a perk.

We used this item with our first child more. Then with our second we really downsized all the baby items. Realized we didnt need them. If your looking for a play mat a blanket works just as good. For the price and storage it gets a 4. We did like it when we used it but just didnt use it much for the second child and decided to gift it on.There is a ball pit aspect to it and that never worked well for us. we just ended up keeping it set up like the first photo displays.

The media could not be loaded. This was recommended to me by a pediatric physical therapist and I’m happy that I took her advice! My three month old loves his new gym. It’s fun to watch him play and engage with the hanging toys. I like that you can put the walls up so I don’t have to worry about my dog walking on to the mat while the baby is playing - I still supervise, of course, but I don’t have to spend all of my time shooing the dog away.Easy setup. Engaging toys. Maybe a little to bright and busy of a design for my personal aesthetic but the baby seems to like it. All considered, I’m very happy with this purchase.

Omg this is the most used product in our lives. We assembled it when our LO was maybe 6 weeks old. He would lay in it for 30-45 minutes and bat at things and it was amazing! I could make and eat food, get some dishes done, take the dog out to potty. Now our LO is 5 months and this is still our most used baby product. He is obsessed with the toys that came with this (and I bought a few others). We use this multiple times per day for the last 4 months. I bought the same one to have at the grandmas house. Looking back, this would be worth $200 for the moments of sanity I’ve had because of this thing. I have another activity mat too and like this one best.

My baby wasn't much interested in it when she was 3 months but now she is 5 months old and it can keep her entertained for a long time.She especially likes the musical toy and I even took it off and took with me to massage procedures to distract my girl because she used to cry. And other toys also may be used both on the mat and separately.You can also hang other toys when she gets bored. We haven't used the balls yet but they come as an extra bonus.I only had to spread a blanket on the mat because the fabric of the mat made my daughter sweat in hot weather.
