Excellent, does add some bulk and weight
This review applies to the metal slate color of the case that Amazon claims is not available til Nov 6 (it's now Oct 20 and I have it on the phone with a "pre-order" from Amazon....can't complain there!). This is an excellent case. It does add a bit of bulk and weight, the latter greater than the former, but personally I find those super thin phones hard to pick up and doubly likely to be dropped frequently. I need something to grab onto. It seems to perform its function of protection perfectly, not that I'm going to drop it several times to prove it. It fits and aligns great, easy to snap on and off. It took me about 2 seconds to snap it on. The wider port openings are a pleasure. My headphone jack is fairly large and I used to use an extender. No longer necessary. Everything is perfectly aligned. I heard one person criticize the buttons as hard to push. From my point of view, nonsense. It's not a "naked" phone, of course, where brushing your finger over the button can turn it off, but that goes with the territory. There is no problem pushing buttons. This is an extremely well designed case.Plus, Spigen does have a sense of style. The case LOOKS great. Big, but great and stylish. As big "tough" cases go, this is fairly slim. It is not, of course, a S-view case, a Neo Hybrid, or even Slim Armor, so if a very slim style is what you prefer, this is not for you. The balance between size and protection is good, but this is a case that emphasizes protection--it stays compact for the category while fulfilling its main purpose. As others have pointed out, the kickstand is hilariously flimsy. We'll see how often I use it and how often it has to be fixed (they include instructions on how to replace it if it pops off....) I'm more likely to just hold the phone in my hand anyway. I rarely prop it up in landscape mode. So, that wasn't a deal-breaker for me, just a minor throw-in. Your mileage may differ.Overall, for $18 shipped, this is simply a steal, a high quality, very sturdy case that looks great.

Recommended BUY
BLUF: I recommend this style of case for the NOTE 4 or any other phone model the Spigen Tough Armor Case is for.Long winded review: First, I will say this, my wife has a very nice OtterBox Communter case for her S4, and when she saw and handled this case immediately wanted it instead. I also got this a day earlier than Amazon estimated (Awesome as always!). Installed it easily on my Note 4 on 16 OCT 14. The inner rubber case snaps on easily and the phone doesn't shift inside the case. Also, and my favorite feature:The rubber is very smooth, so it doesn't hang up on fabric in a pocket. The hard plastic outer case slid on easily, making me a little nervous at first, but after massaging the edges for about 30 seconds, it seated a little better. The outer case doesn't overlap on the inner rubber, since there is a bevel on the edge of the screen, but I again, the phone hasn't shifted in the case with heavy use (so far).Next favorite feature:The outer buttons are flush with the outside of the case. On other phones with cases like this one, I would tend to wake up the phone just by taking out of the pocket or moving it around. Robbing battery life each time. The button covers require a bit more of a press to wake the phone or adjust the volume, but I like that.Speakers and microphones are not covered up, but more than that, the sound isn't affected at all. The pocket for the stylus is a little more narrow than expected, but not enough to bug me (yet). There is no cover for the phone jack or the USB port, so if that is important for you, you may want to consider other options. The kick stand snaps into place nice, and can be used on either side of the horizontal view, but not vertically (not an issue for me, but I thought I should mention it).The heart rate monitor (once I figured it out) works fine through the case. All in all, the case is outstanding, looks very nice and has the right functionality for me.

Protection-friendly? Yes. User-friendly? Ehh.
Just received this case today, November 14th. Shipping was super quick through Prime, as usual.Pros:First of all, let me clarify some of the other reviews...Although the Spigen cases had issues with the microphone ports lining up correctly, they have since fixed the problem. I have a Verizon Note 4 and they have widened the ports on the cases to support all carriers, so there is no need to worry about your phone not working anymore if you have a Verizon device. I did multiple test calls and there is no difference on the other end between when I have my phone in or out of the case. The case itself is very well built to protect from drops. The bulk of the case is rubber, so I have no fear of dropping this phone anymore. I'm not the type to usually drop my phones anyway, but the Note 4 is just too beautiful to not protect. For those of you who are bad at dropping them, you'll be happy with this case. It definitely adds a little bulk and weight to the device, but come on, you're using a Note 4. If size were an issue, you wouldn't have gotten the Note. The heart rate monitor also works fine from the testing I've done. The thickness of the case does make it a tad more difficult to get your finger in the little dugout they have for the sensor, but I have bear paws for hands and I still made it work so unless you are Andre the Giant I think you'll be OK using the sensor. I would add that it's a little easier for it to work if you have your finger at an angle on the sensor. It seems like it does better than when you have your finger parallel to the device, and it also isn't as awkward to hold while you are testing.Aesthetically, the case looks very sharp. I ordered the gun metal case and for the outside part being plastic it really does look like gun metal. It's easy to hold, and the front is raised up to where the screen does not touch the table if you have it face-down. Overall design wise, my hat's off to you, Spigen.Cons:There are two primary cons that I've found with this case, and combined will most likely cause me to look for another case due to my personal preference (although I'm keeping this one too for when I need a more rugged case).First, the buttons on the side of the phone are now nearly impossible to feel without looking at the case/where you have your fingers aligned. All of the other cases I've ever used have had buttons that were a little raised, which made it much easier to find and operate without having to fumble around. This phone has the buttons completely flush with the device. I guess the idea was to have them as flush as possible so when you are using the kickstand you aren't pushing buttons. However, I had a case for my Note 2 that had a kickstand AND raised buttons and I never had an issue. The other con in terms of this case in my opinion is the kickstand. Does it work when you use it? Yes, absolutely. However, you can tell it is very cheaply built (it's a piece of plastic that's very lightweight; from the picture I thought it was going to be a metal kickstand, which would have provided more durability). The most frustrating thing about the kickstand, however, is how difficult it is to get out of the case. They use to small insets on the kickstand itself and two small raised points in the "housing" of the kickstand to hold it in place. When it's set, it most definitely isn't going anywhere. The problem arises when you DO want to use it. I tried and tried to get it without using a "tool" of some sort, but I finally just grabbed a small flathead screwdriver to pop the kickstand out from it's housing. I don't know about you, but I don't want to rip a fingernail off every time I want to show someone a video on my phone and part of the reason I ordered this case is because of the inclusion of the kickstand. It would have been a better design option to go with a thin, metal stand that works on some sort of a spring where it can be flipped "opened and closed" without the need to click it into anything. I can just tell either A- the kickstand is eventually going to break or B- the insets for the kickstand are going to get worn down and then the kickstand won't want to stay in place.Overall, if you are looking for a sleek case to protect your Note 4 from drops and that's it, then this case is a great buy. If you want a case that's built to be user-friendly, you should look elsewhere.

Awesome durable case with cool feature.
The only knock against this case is that it scuffs up pretty easily. It doesn't allow your phone to be damaged, and it's lightweight and durable as hell, but it will eventually look a little ratty if your phone gets a bit of wear at work etc. It has a kickstand to prop your phone up to watch videos.

Tough and Stylish
A great case. It fits the Note 4 perfectly. All of the rebates are in exactly the right places. It makes the already big phone look even bigger but it looks tough and well engineered. I haven't dropped it yet but I'm pretty sure my device stands a much better chance of being unharmed with this case on. The flip out stand is good and works but is a little bit flimsy. Just make sure it clicks back into place. All in all a really good product.
