Taut, Punchy Bass
I needed to replace my Soundmagic E10 phones which unfortunately were broken when a large dog jumped up on me, pulling them out of my ears and in the process snapped the jack! Initially thought about the E10s again because for £30 or so they're about the best in their class.Came across the Adagio lll and was struck by the cool design with the right ear housing coloured red and the left one in white and after reading various reviews decided they were for me, even though twice the price of the E10s.Comparing the Adagio's with my 'best' earphones (Monster Turbine Pro-Copper) which are/were nearly three times the price of the adagio's, I was mightily impressed with the powerful bass and 3D vast airy soundstage. This deep but taut bass is only achieved after burning them in for between 30-50 hours, so possible buyers be warned, don't make a snap decision after listening to them 'out of the box', do run them in before passing judgement.I rated them five stars simply for their sound, the only slight quibble I have is that I wish the cabling looked a little more robust, which the Monsters certainly are and accessories are a bit sparse, only three pairs of silicone tips and no pouch but for me, how they sound is of more importance. One last point, supplied eartip quality is quite good but would advise obtaining Sony Hybrids, I think nozzle diameter size is 4mm, same as the Sony MDR-EX1000 phones. To conclude, I believe the Adagio lll's come pretty close to the performance level of more costlier earphones.

Best earphones money can buy - especially with Comply tips.
At last! I've been through a number of high end earphones over the years - Shure, Sennheiser,Bowers & Wilkins, but these are just the best I've ever experienced, and amazing value for the sound they deliver. Warm, punchy bass! Every time I listen, the way my music sounds puts a smile on my face.I just some bought Comply T200 tips to go with them too and now they sound even better. Satisfactory, based on a good Stuff Magazine review
Purchased on behalf of a Stuff Magazine review. They should come with a caution, these earphones are bass heavy. I appreciate that beats headphones have set the tone for the market these days but some people still like their music to sound like the artists and producers intended. Cable rattle isn't too bad but don't run with these. I've yet to find a bud size that fits my ear and doesn't fall out but thats more to do with my ear shape than audio quality so I won't delve into that canal. Final thoughts, for £40ish they do look a little on the cheap side aesthetically but i'm not too concerned with that, just thought it was worth the mention for anyone that it does concern.

High quality sound, low quality design.
Fantastic quality for those who love bass, so far the best earphones i have used even better than Beats by Dre. The wire however is very bog standard quality and feel abit easy to snap. If the design was more sturdy I'd rate 5 stars!

Unusual design and great looks.
Lovely clear sound and great quality. Would have kept them 'for life' but unfortunately they were stolen from me.

... swapped for bigger or smaller ones fall off to easily! Surprised i haven't lost one yet
The plastic plugs that can be swapped for bigger or smaller ones fall off to easily! Surprised i haven't lost one yet! Quite disappointing for an expensive product. Sound quality is good

Sound great, but not that much better than cheaper alternatives.
These sound great but do need quite a while to settle in, have read 60-80 hours online. I find they sound best if you angle them slightly diagonal... although the bass can be quite weak unless you've positioned them perfectly.
