Versatile to charge all kinds of stuff. Need to have some Engineering know how to translate the instructions.

After looking at many units to charge my NiHM batteries I chose this unit. I would have given it 5 stars except for the con below.Pros:-Built in A/C power supply, so no additional power supply is needed, no additional wires-Appearance - looks clean and professional, no extra wires or unneeded flashing lights-Function - works as designed, except as mentioned below, will charge 2 batteries at 8a each @ the same time-Included all the cables I needed for charging/discharging/cycling 6 cell NiHM battery packs-EASY to useCons:-When discharging, it will max out at 2.0 amps, even if I set discharge to 5 amps! With discharging my 6500 mAH batteries, this takes 3+ hours per battery and not just over 1 hour as it would with a 5.0 amp discharge. I have found no way to change this, these are automotive hybrid batteries and can handle up to 100a discharges.

Just received this from Dirtcheaprc.com and it doesn't work! I want a replacement or refund!

I have had one for a year and the switches are going out, but the manufacturer told me this is a rare problem and is fixing it. Update: The dealer held up his end of the deal, and replaced the entire front panel. Now it works great. I am glad to be able to use it again, thanks.

I’ve been using it for about a couple of days now. No problem so far. It does what it’s supposed to do and does it well. Would have given it five stars had it come with a couple of EC3 leads, which I’d to buy separately for about $15.00.
