Excellent guide
As a professional dog trainer, it is so important to help families with children to understand what is appropriate behavior with and for the dog. This book is a great help and tool to use for that purpose.

Glad I Bought It
This book was very helpful, especially describing how to tell when a dog is tolerating rather than enjoying something. I can tell that the book was written for two audiences: dog trainers & families. I didn't always understand the stuff for dog trainers, being new to dogs myself, but I would certainly recommend this book to anyone.

Great reference book for pup and dog trainers
I refer to this book frequently to see various approaches to solutions for dog and puppy training issues. I recommend it to any dog/puppy training professional for his/her professional library. Applicable for dogs of any age, really, not just puppies.I love Collen Pellar's first book, Living with Kids and Dogs without Losing your mind! Best book ever!

Very helpful!!!
This is a terrific book for both dog professionals and dog owners! It's very insightful and has great calming signal illustrations, as well as helpful tips for parents. It's definitely one of the best guides available for helping parents deal with dog/children interactions.

great for public education
This book is a valuable resource when giving public talks to parent groups, schools, teachers and puppy group classes. Prevention is much easier than modifying dangerous behaviors down the road...
