At nearly £20, this product is an absolute rip off and I would never recommend it to anyone who is wanting a home testing kit. In fact, I believe that I should be entitled to a refund because the finger prick gadget did not work properly, so I used one my daughter has in her diabetes kit instead. I followed all instructions and it did not work properly. I do a lot of product reviews on my Facebook page and this kit will be getting a HUGE thumbs down..

Easy to use

I feel this product is a good one, how ever I’m not certain on the accuracy. I had one reading from this test, and then soon after a very different reading from the drs. For the money you pay, I think it’s a good little kit. The instructions a not massively clear,

I bought these as a way of benchmarking my electronic cholesterol meter, and I'd say they did the job. It's important to read the instructions first, and have a means of accurately timing 3 minutes before you peel off the top layer and then compare the sample colour with the chart, and then turn over to read the score, which you then divide by 38.67 to get to the result that most people refer to. Also be aware you do need a reasonably big drop of blood as shown in the instructions. Because there are only a few colour gradations to compare the sample with, it's not a precise mechanism, but it will give you a reasonable idea. The results in my case were pretty close to my electronic meter.

Quick delivery from order. Good for doing a home self-check as the instructions are very straightforward, and results within a few minutes from starting. This is a ‘basic’ test, as declared by the manufacturer/supplier. If your results show above average levels, you should consult a doctor.

Can’t really return as blood on both tests. Reading only showed after 20 mins and didn’t correspond to the chart as was multi coloured result, pink red and green. Basically didn’t work for me at all and refund option not available without returning.
