Hi, one of the reviewers said that this unit would not charge or provide power to the GPS. Is this true?

This will power the GPS Unit in the same way that the original adapter did. This is even better than the original as you can move to the position best suited for your vieiwing while driving. I've used this quite lot with my GO910. I highly recommend this
