Personally I really love this cookbook. The team that worked together to created a fabulous cook book and a tool to assist anyone struggling with the number on the scale and or recipes for affordable, nutritional food that are not difficult to make, require ingredients typically found in most pantries and does not sacrifice flavor. SlimFast went a bit further with detailed nutritional information for serving for every recipe. Everyone knows a picture speaks volumes. They provide a color photo of a serving of every recipe that is printed in the book.The first few pages are different than most traditional cookbooks. Recipes are not the headliner of chapter 1.This book dedicates the beginning of the book to a chart illustrating 4 complete weeks of Slim Fast Dining using the 3 2 1 PLAN. IF you aren't familiar with Slim Fast 321 it is a weight loss program that has participants replace 2 daily meals with a sc ljm fast meal replacement shake. Bar or cookie. You also eat 2 healthy snacks with about 100 calories each and a healthy meal containing 500-600 calories daily. The chart demonstrates boredom is not required with this program, there are so many options.Nearly all the recipes fo not contain Slim Fastas an ingredient-I mean in this because while this is a fabulous side to those of us following the Slim-Fast Plan, it stands on it's own as a wonderful cookbook to add to your collection or as your first cook book. I have been collecting cookbooks for over 40 years. This is one of my favorites. rank it on par with my cookbooks written by one of the best chef's of the twentieth century.

Slim-Fast! 3-2-1 Plan
So far we've enjoyed most of the recipes we've tried. They are simple, easy to prepare, and most of them require only a small amount of cooking time (as few as 10 minutes sometimes). The ingredients are easy to find and inexpensive. The pages of the cookbook are coated so if liquid or food is splashed on them they wipe clean. We have been able to reduce our food budget. This is the first time we have begun a healthy eating plan and stuck to it. I give this cookbook a high recommendation.
