I was recently diagnosed with an extremely painful condition on my ear. Apparently, if you sleep too hard on one side, you can create a chondrodermatitis nodularis helicis (a nodule that is crazy painful). There is little you can do except take the pressure away when you sleep or always sleep on your back. I couldn't do either and my doctor suggested I cut a hole in my pillow. I did but it did little to help. Then my boyfriend suggested this helmet. While not exactly sexy, it has relieved the pain and I am finally healing - and sleeping.

I got this because I wear hearing aids, and train in Krav Maga. Prior to ordering, I received an inadvertent blow to the ear, which destroyed one of my hearing aids. Rather than having to spend money on repairs, I searched for and found this headgear. Been wearing it for about a year, 4 classes a week. Wards off the errant shots during drills, and I wear it under my boxing headgear during sparring. No damage to my hearing aids (or ears) since I started wearing this. Comfortable, washable. I ordered a spare, just to have two I can rotate, or for when one wears out.

I practice BJJ and needed to get a headgear after getting my head and ears mashed so much. I bought the adapt headgear and it fit pretty well.... but the straps keep coming loose when i roll. It is too easy to unstrap them during a roll. Also the velcro hooks snag on gi & clothes & do not feel that great. They should have reversed the velcroAlso the cups create a weird muffle around the ear- you can still hear some things - but it sounds weird. that is one of the things to get used to when using such headgear. The Cliff keen ones are really hard but you can hear things more clearly.

I liked the size of the pocket for the ears as I was using for bjj due to fresh cauliflower. I also liked the fact that it was machine washable. The Velcro was pretty strong and held on well. The only downside for me was the chin strap was uncomfortable. Other than that it does the job

I was just looking for something simple for BJJ that was soft on the outside and wouldn't bother my partners who weren't wearing any headgear. Seems to fit my needs so far. My only complaint is that the chin strap was too long. I had to cut the extra part that wasn't Velcro'd to anything.

My son does not like how it fits. Will be returning this product.

I use these while playing racquetball. First time I felt uncomfortable but after getting used to feel good. Good hold on to the head.

This headgear is exactly what I needed for grappling. It is comfortable, fits perfect, and provides the protection I needed at a great price. I recommend it and would definitely buy another one when I need to. The chin strap Velcro is a bit too long, but a bit too long is way better than a bit too short. Besides this, you will not regret buying this headgear.
