CSCS Study Guide 2018 & 2019: CSCS Exam Content & Practice Test Prep Book for the NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist Test

Great information and it is really done in a concise manner that hits the high points, while leaving most of the fluff (other than constantly saying that the S&C Professional needs to consider age, fitness, etc of the athlete in every other paragraph)My issue stems from the typos. I read other posts that said the same thing, but the more I am taking the practice tests I am realizing how many there are. Questions have the same explanation I used, but the wrong letter as the answer - clearly a typo. 4 categories of information, but only 3 differing pieces and when cross referenced with the text, it is just a typo.Typos are fine for most texts, but not science texts with proper numbers and percentages, and definitely not when you have practice test answers that are wrong.

love this study guide because of how condense the information is from the NSCA manual which is pretty thick. The study questions with the answers providing why it is the right choice is great. The only thing that could be implemented in this book is some test questions with a case study.

A really great study guide into the CSCS exam. Breaks down everything you need to know that is in the test. My only inquire would be to add just a bit more questions that pertain to athlete programming. More specific towards each sporting category. Aside from that minuet suggestion, overall this study guide is hands down the best to use for learning what you need to to pass the exam! Highly recommend it.

I would give the rating of the Apex book a 4. I am more confident in these 3 months of having the book about taking the test. I understand that only 53% pass both practical ans scientific foundation, but I am positive in passing. The vocabulary is explained each answer is broken down and you are able to understand why or why not a question is correct.

Good review product. Has some minor errors, typos mostly. Could have used some more illustrations. It summarizes all the sections. I liked the test questions and explanations. I mostly got it for extra practice with test questions and it served its purpose. I would buy it again and recommend it if you want some extra practice.

1: The book is very well organized and outlined to maximize efficiency in studying 2: The explanation that partners the correct answer is incredible; allowing the student to receive immediate feedback to validate or correct their own reasoning for choice selection 3: The illustrations are a nice feature but I feel were in short supply for the amount of materiel covered; this being an abridged version of the actual materiel it is to be expected 4: The materiel is thorough and doctrinal, leaving all subjectivity out of the explanations or concepts

I bought this Study Guide to prepare for the CSCS exam in 2018, but did not start studying until early 2019. This guide helped me get a good grasp of what's needed to pass the exam. After a couple of month studying, I feel I am ready to pass the exam.I gave it 4 stars because It would be great to see some color in this publication. Color coded keywords are, in my opinion, easier to remember. Having keywords highlighted or in bold font also helps with memorization. A table with key terms at the end of each chapter would help as well. These are just some of the learning tips that work best for me, but overall this is a great study guide.

The APEX CSCS study guide is a very helpful material for me to prepare for my exam. It is very in depth and gives me a better understanding of some of the subjects which are reviewed in the essesntials hard copy.I think with this study guide and the supporting videos, i will be more then prepared for my exam coming up this year.Thank you !!
