Best decision ever!
I honestly wanted to buy a vitamix. And then was leaning towards buying a ninja BL610 but that has a plastic jar and i really stay away from plastic. i came across this one on amazon and this has pleasantly surprised me at 1/4th the cost, it does everything i need! Makes smoothies in seconds and i couldn't ask for me. Looks beautiful on my countertop and matches with my white and silver kitchenaid stand mixer. The glass jar is a bit heavy but hey! you aren't going to be carrying it around a lot. The best part is that you can take everything apart and clean.. i highly recommend this one!

Nice blender, terrible customer service
There are not many high powered blenders with a glass jug that are also good looking. This might be the only one. I love the design and it has that classic Braun modernist vibe. It is easy to use, and pretty easy to clean (especially because the glass jug). That said, after about 5 months of daily use the rubber gasket at the base of the jug started to loose it's seal and the rubber chuck that interfaces with the blades started to give off a burnt rubber smell... I contacted customer service and after several odd emails back and forth they agreed to replace it.... but only after I sent them my unit first. Kind of a bummer as now I don't have a blender. I had an issue with a Breville product once and they sent me a replacement right away, before I sent my current unit. But whatever, clearly Braun (DeLonghi who actually makes and takes care of customer service on these) doesn't trust their customers. I sent it back and a week later I get just the motor unit... no gas jug, no way to make anything... so I email back, and no response. I go to the online chat on the website and I tell them I didn't get a jug and they say no problem, they will send me one.... two more weeks go by. I reply to the email again, no response, I go to the online chat again and they say the jugs are back ordered. OK, so I ask when will they be in stock, and can I get an email saying that as soon as it is in stock I will get one... no, and email can't be sent until it is in stock and sent. OK, when will it be in stock? ....oh, actually it is in stock now, we will send you one.... and you will send me an email confirming this? Yes.... 9 days later it finally arrives. So, in conclusion, great looking blender, easy to use, shoddy build quality, and terrible customer service. Come on Braun, you are better than this. And for those daily smoothies? I switched to a Breville immersion blender.Update: after MONTHS of back and forth with customer service I finally got a replacement unit. After 5 months of making smoothies daily the thing is smoking, spitting rubber from the blade interface and leaking like crazy out the blade gasket....

Happy with this blender for a while. Now not sure.
Good blender. Like the glass pitcher. Smoothie mode starts too fast. Otherwise it’s great.UPDATE: pitcher developed a leak in the blade assembly. Blended liquid goes through blade base, gets burned in bearing and leaks out bottom. Base gets very gross leaked liquid. Customer service is replacing entire unit. Appreciate fast response time. Hope next unit is better.

Keeping it, but I would not have bought this in store.
Works fine, looks great, easy to clean. But when you click jar in to the base it has a plastic mechanism, which just super easy but i cannot help thinking that one wrong twist or move will brake the clicking system. I have used it few times , if i still have it in a year i will add a star to this review.

Poor design, difficult to clean
I wanted to like this blender, but I had problems with it. I returned it, and purchased a different brand.Good: the smoothie function so you can walk away while blending, sturdy, blended wellBad: I cleaned the blender according to instructions; however, the rubber washer fell off. I tried placing the washer in the correct spot and black liquid came out after blending. The washer is just stuck on with adhesive, so no matter how gentle you are with cleaning, it will fall off eventually.

Sturdy and easy to clean
I have had a lot of blenders in my time but this one has been superb thus far, I make smoothies with it primarily to increase my fruit and vegie intake. It gets use almost daily, well built, sturdy. A bit loud but that's what ever compared to the overall performance. Overall a great blender, a good buy and it looks good!

Update: DON’T BUY! LEAKS LIKE A SIEVE!
UPDATE TO REVIEW BELOW: the manufacturer had responded to my comment and asked me to call customer service. So I did. DON'T DO IT. The very nice and friendly man on the phone took over 30 minutes, two live videos and long silences on hold to tell me that in fact they did not have the part on my blender which leaks (the blade part) so they were happy to send me a whole new blender free of charge, provided I submitted to a third live video showing them that I cut the power cord on the (perfectly working) base so no one could use it again. To actually have an official policy rendering a good working part unusable for anyone else in an age when recycling and reusing should be the norm is perfectly unconscionable. And did I mention it took them half hour to even tell me the part was out of stock? Why wasn't that the first thing they looked up. As I told the nice man on the phone, I'm now buying a Nutribullet. Lesson learned.*****I was looking for a smoothie maker and everything on the market seemed either expensive or had plastic jugs. I wanted a glass jug. Plus I have bought other Braun products before and typically liked them. Wow do I regret buying this one! I have been using it almost every day for a year trying to figure out if it’s me or if it’s the smoothie machine. Well it’s the smoothie machine. No matter how tightly you screw on the bottom no matter what you do with the rubber gasket no matter how tightly you press it down, the smoothie jug leaks so every time I make myself a smoothie, which is every day in the morning, I have a huge mess running out the bottom of the machine. I thought about returning it but it’s too much trouble. So I’m using it until this Christmas and then I’m going to upgrade and get a different brand even if it means a little more money.

Works well but heavy and confusing controls
Does the job. Heavy duty. Glass container is heavy. Controls are confusing. Built in smoothie function (turns on and off) never ends!

Awesome blender!
Great blender! Super stable and solid and love how it comes completely apart for easy cleaning. The aesthetic is great - a mix of modern and classic.Would definitely buy again if this one ends up breaking down.

Braun should be Braun. This isn't.
Looks great, but broke after 4 months. Leaks and oozed oil into the smoothie.Health hazard. Alsothe mechanism is plastic. Shaved piecesare comingout of it everytime you turn it on. Braun products used to be great and lasted forever. This blenderis no good.

If a glass jug is a must, this is the one. If not, read on.
We've been using one of the Braun blenders from the previous line that this newer line is replacing for well over a year now to be honest the Braun is our go-to blender for the vast majority of our blending even though it was much less powerful than our "big blender". The new models continue to be everything that I liked about the old one, but with some rather big and meaningful improvements that make the upgrade worth it.The 1000W motor of the new line is a LOT more powerful than the old one which I believe was just over 600W. It now makes it a more sensible pick for some of the cases I was still glad to own another blender for like crushing ice. The other major thing that I wasn't a huge fan of with the old model was the fact that the mating between the motor and the blades was all plastic and it's metal now and a lot more confidence inspiring. Though, at the end of the day, we used the old blender quite a lot and it doesn't show any sign of the plastic becoming an issue perhaps the metal is needed now because of the motor upgrade? Either way, it's definitely an improvement even if it's only psychological in a practical sense. That being said, I've found that most everything else worth noting is pretty much par for the course and it's still, even without the big improvements, a pretty great blender for a really fair price. This particular model has the glass jug and a few extra blending modes, in addition to some stainless steel accents that set it apart from the basic blender of the line. The glass jug is a personal preference thing, I'm not going to say it's better, but it's definitely something some people look for and getting this upper end model is the only way to get it. Honestly, the extra blending modes are not really worth paying extra for, and the stainless looks nice but if you're like us and just put blenders away when not using it then paying extra for cosmetics doesn't make sense. I would say definitely get this model if you value the glass jug but you're going to do just as well with the basic model for a little bit less if you're okay with plastic and don't care if the body looks more plasticky.Overall I give this particular kit 5 stars for functionality and value, if considered on it's own merits, but I'm going to have to give it 4 stars compared to the basic model at the bottom of the line because I feel the things that the price bump is pretty steep for the actual differences and I would generally steer friends or family towards the cheaper model just in terms of value.

Pretty much, I had completely given up on my ...
I was stoked when I received an offer to try the Braun Puremix as we are still using a blender that was passed down to me from the 90s (Black & Decker Crush Master 450 w). Pretty much, I had completely given up on my relic as it was not strong enough to blend ice so, we purchased a Ninja Master Prep Pro (also 450 w) about 5 years ago and while it was better the Ninja did not perform as I had hoped (ie Frapps, Milkshakes, Smoothies). The very first thing you notice when unboxing is how heavy / durable the 1.6 litre glass pitcher is and measurements are clearly marked. Setup is extremely easy but I am not impressed with the seal on the blade system. From past experience, I know better to make sure the blade and rubber gasket are setup properly ensuring a good tight seal but the first time trying the Braun, contents started leaking out the bottom when I lifted the pitcher off the base. Turns out, I need to be very careful lifting the jug off the unit as I am used to giving a slight twist but twisting actually loosens the seal quite easily. For a few years I have been eyeing up a Vitamix but my wallet would not appreciate the $500-$600 price tag and the fact that you are getting 1000 watts of power for under $200 is quite impressive. I have been bouncing my review back and forth wanting to give it 3 stars for the fact that it leaked on me but then I feel it deserves 4 stars for how much power this unit handles at an incredibly affordable price. Since the leaking incident, I have been much more careful ensuring that I do not give it even the slightest twist when removing the pitcher from the base, things have been much better.Since receiving the Braun Puremix we have been making frappuccinos regularly and saving ourselves quite a bit of money. Seriously, if you love frapps as much as we do, pickup some Torani syrups and make them yourself (your pocked will thank you) and some great advice, make a few batches of espresso shots and freeze them so that it does not dilute your mixture.Features include: removable measuring cap with drip opening, 3 Ft cord, thermal resistant glass, illuminated controls, and a 2 year warranty.
