Good unit but not Weber good.
I contemplated getting a new grill or a snowblower for the Holidays. I chose the Weber Genesis S330 which is really a fantastic grill (which I will review separately). A was considering the Summit but all I really thought the S330 was missing was the rotisserie so I purchased this unit as well. It arrived on time, had clear instructions for attaching the bracket to the grills lower housing and tested out in the shop well. There are 3 issues that cost this unit a net 2 stars.I am giving a 0.5 star reduction because the two cap screws (bolts) are 3 mm too long. When I installed the motor stand off mounting bracket as shown in the instructions (putting the heads of the bolts on the interior side of the grill and the nuts on the outside) the exposed thread beyond the nuts catches on the inside edge of the lid when you close it. It is subtle but it does make contact and can cause the lid to hang up and not close and seal properly. This bracket is permanently installed and constructed out of high grade stainless steel so it looks fine left there and functions as a tool rest to keep greasy tools off the side table if so desired. The solution was to take a hacksaw and trim the excess threaded rod off the cap screw and it took all of 60 seconds and then I filed down the sharp end. I am never taking the thing off so I am OK with that. The issue that cost them 2.5 stars (and possibly more) is the really poor job that was done by the manufacturer of spot welding the U forks onto the clips that slide on the square rod. I did a 23lb turkey today and it was fantastically cooked but right at the end of the 3.5 hrs of cooking, one of the welds broke causing the U bolt to fall into the bottom of the grill and the other one could not hold the turkey alone and the turkey slid down the shaft and disengaged. I also noted that the wing screw had loosened on the broken clip and was slid back away from the turkey so the breakage may have been a secondary problem to the fork sliding outward and the torque on the weld increasing as the leverage increased. I don't know but in any case, the weld should not have broken on its first use. In the future I am going to probably tighten the screws with a small pliers to prevent any movement when I use it next.I called the Weber customer support and they were very helpful (+1 star). They registered my grill (which I had not done yet) and then said they would ship me a new hardware kit (the U forks and set screws) in 7-10 days. I am satisfied with this but was upon inspection of the broken weld, I am surprised it held at all. It appears to be a spot weld but there was almost no penetration in the base metal indicating the lack of metal fusion. I looked at the other one that was still intact and pulled with maybe 15 lbs of force outward on it and it broke off as cleanly as the first. Same problem. I am going to assume that the welding station was not properly set up and this is a fluke but I will let you know when the next set arrives. Clearly there is a lack of quality control at the manufacturing facility and that is what I am most disappointed with as the Weber brand is not about second class quality. I am a lifelong Weber grill owner and I gave my 13yr old Genesis Silver B to my dad to keep at the lake cabin. I love the S330 and I am hoping the forks were a fluke. I have a wire feed welder in my shop and I am going to try to re-attach the forks so they will never come off again but most people don't have this option so that is why I am writing this review. I hope the engineers at Weber read this and make changes to the manufacturing process. I will update when the new ones arrive. Enjoy.p.s. If you attempt a really large turkey like this, you need to remove the grates, and then the three middle flavorizer bars to proved enough clearance for the turkey as it rotates. Also since two of them have burners (the sear station burner and the middle burner) I covered them with strips of aluminum foil to keep juices from dripping into the unused burners. You only need the outer two set to Lo (So instead of M-OM, I was set at L-O-O-L) and it held at precisely 325 deg F for the whole time with an outside temperature of 32 deg F - which is a warm day in Minnesota in Dec). Lastly, the center of gravity for a turkey is not straight through the body cavity but somewhat on the breast side of the cavity. I did not want to puncture the breast so I went through the neck, posterior of the breast bone and came out on the anterior lower ventral side of the carcass. Basically between the legs. The spit is very sharp and the hoop handle is easy to hold onto but this process was cumbersome and I recommend having two sober adults doing this to prevent injury to anyone involved. The tines engaged well in the breast meat and because of the offset in the U forks I was able to seat the ventral U fork in the body with good attachment. Having a good center of gravity spit insertion is critical to having the motor rotate evenly otherwise it will drive hard going up and "coast" the motor going down which may prematurely wear it out. Plenty of torque though if you miss the center line.

Good tool for great grilling
Kind of tricky to use the first time, but well worth it. The hardest part for me was learning how to truss a chicken. Trussing is when you tie the chicken up with butchers twine, so it wont flop all over the place when it's spinning on the rotisserie. There is literature available and 'How To' video's on YouTube, but it's not as easy as it looks! I still need more practice for sure. And in case you don't get a book, put a shallow tray underneath your chicken to catch the grease. Trust me you want to use one! And make sure the meat does not hit the pan and move it. I just pushed the sides down to allow for more coverage underneath.Rotisserie cooking gives you some excellent results, the chicken is tender and moist. You can cook other things beside chicken, only your imagination limits you. In the book I bought, the author gives you instruction how to cook all meats. Such as rib eye roast, turkey, pork. As I mentioned, there is a really good book out there, the one I bought was Rotisserie Grilling by Mike Vrobel. This book is available as a kindle or paperback. Just a note, the Kindle version has color photo's and the paperback is black and white. This book really helped me out a lot. Not even the Weber cookbook gives you much information on rotisserie cooking. Another good paperback book is How To Grill by Steven Raichlen, this is a very extensive book on grilling including rotisserie cooking. Both books are excellent. I'm looking forward to many dinners on the spit, you cant help but be captivated by this method of cooking.

Best chicken ever! (when you get a working motor)
I received my rotisserie kit last week. Based upon other reviews with bad motors I decided to test it out before anything else. Low and behold the motor was DOA.I called Weber and after only 5 minutes on the phone they had a tested replacement in the mail via overnight FedEx. Installation was very easy on the grill.I used my rotisserie for the first time today on a 6.5 lb chicken. I've never trussed or put a chicken on a spit before. YouTube had some helpful videos to guide me through it.After about 2 1/2 hours I had the most juicy chicken I've ever eaten. The chicken came off the spit fairly easily. The spit and forks were a bit tricky to clean by hand as I don't believe they're dishwasher safe. I soaked the forks in hot, soapy water for about 20 minutes and used an old baby bottle brush to clean the nooks and crannies.I would have given this more than 5 stars on the ease of use, customer service and quality of the chicken. I only gave 4 stars because of the broken motor and difficulty cleaning. If you buy this please make sure to plug in the motor and test it before you unpack the rest of the box. If you get a bad motor, don't worry - just give Weber a call and they'll quickly remedy the issue. I'm glad I waited to buy a chicken until after I was sure I had a working motor. One more thing, some sites suggested using only one burner on low indirect heat. I needed to use both outside burners on medium to keep the temp about 325° on my genesis.

Now that the summer months are here, I find myself using this every week to cook either a whole chicken or a beef tenderloin. In my opinion, the meat turns out amazing without the worry of burning part of it or overcooking part of it.The Weber Rotisserie, while more expensive than most other brands, seems to be well worth the added cost due to how well it works and how secure it feels and how easy it is to set up. If you have a Weber, you should get this! :)

satisfied
fits, works. 4 forks would be useful vs only 2. But I kept extras from a previous rotisserie which fit this one. That way 2 chickens can be secured well. Forks a bit less robust than previous of another brand, but so far so good.

Good value.
Good powerful motor. We'll built rotisserie rod. Tines are Ok but could be stronger. Fits BBQ perfectly.

Great Rotisserie
A very solid heavy duty unit from Weber. Works great. Compared to other rotisseries I've had this one has more heft and power. A great addition to your Weber BBQ
