Instant hot water at the temperature that you set. Slow flow of water, but only heats the amount you want need so very efficient. Can now make coffee or tea at the correct temperature required. So easy to refill the tank.The controls are plastic and may not last as long as the machine. So far had it couple of months so let's see it's durability.Looks very sleek on the counter top.

Having a fairly server degenerative disability I find my independence racing away from me at a full speed.Doing the simplest of things like making a cup of tea for my husband when he gets home from work is really important to me as there is so many other things that I really can not do around our home anymore.However I have not been able to use a convensional kettle for a few years now due to burning myself and not being able to lift the weight of a kettle, let alone if it is filled with water.I have been using a one Cup kettle for a while, however as my husband has a large cup I would have to use it once to make the tea then use it again in a seperat cup to get the extra water to fill the cup up, but would need help to pour the extra water into my husband's cup as I would spill it everywhere not only making a mess but burning myself too.So I still needed a lot of help.Also my old one Cup kettle was at an angle with a rather narrow neck to fill up the water tank, so I really couldn't do that at all.However this little beauty allows you to use as much water as you like in one go so I can fill up my husband's large cup on my own.Also the water tank is so much easier to fill up, I just lift the lid and fill it up myself one Cup at a time, it does take me a little while but I can manage this simple act alone without needing any assistance.It may seem silly to anyone reading this, but being able to do this alone is incredibly important to me.The only downside to this is it does tend to drip a lot for a long time after use. That said it does have a drip tray underneath so it's not a major issue.I find the water flow is a lot slower than my old one cup kettle too, but again I find this a bonus as I have forgotten to keep an eye on it twice now whilst making tea, so its overflowed.However as the water doesn't come out that fast it wasn't the end of the world.But all the benefits of independence that this gives me far out weighs those little issues.I am now also able to help make the gravy for dinner with this kettle while my husband is cooking, which is a small act but again really important to me to be able to be in the kitchen with my husband while he is busy preparing a meal for us both, I am able to make the smallest contribution to help.For me the kettle has made the biggest difference to my life all for the better.I highly recommend this kettle. I wish I had found it sooner.

Easy to use age in the kitchen and for safety marvellous for a one cup of tea

Great piece of kit for hot water but unfortunately not the greatest build quality. Dispense button has broken within 6 months of not very heavy usage.

this machine does not return the button. it splashes hot water all over the worktop. you have to try and flick the button to get it working. it has got to be the worst thing I have ever bought. I am a pensioner and can not afford to waste money like this.would like amazon to refund.

We ordered this hot water dispenser and it's first time we've used this brand. From point of order to delivery the sellers were excellent with communication & customer service. Unfortunately the first dispenser arrived with the drip tray missing. We contacted the seller and they quickly offered options to resolve the problem. We asked for a replacement as we really liked this dispenser and the seller arranged for us to return the first one and get a replacement. We had our lovely new dispenser with drip tray within 4 days. We would highly recommend this seller and recommend the product. It's quiet to use doesn't spit and looks very nice sitting on our worktop

Had this about a week now, chose this over others after comparing, also I have other VonShef products and have never been disappointed. Water comes out quite slow which I suppose is to be expected as it’s heating it on the way through. Has variable temperature control which others don’t seem to, also has a stop function which is one of the main reasons for buying, large water tank. Use it every day and not just for tea. Hoping to save a bit of money as well on the electric!

The media could not be loaded.  I so wanted this to work. Was bought as a replacement to my kettle. Liked the fact you didn't have to know exactly how much a cup holds (who does!!), especially if you have a mix-mash of cups.Fills a cup in about 45 secs which is ok. However unfortunately it isn't hot as you'll see from the video and image!You find if you do 2 cups, one after the other, the second one is warmer (gets into 80 degrees....), still nowhere near boiling).To make matters worse, if you leave the machine, I suspect the water that has been previously heated and still surrounding the element cools, and instead of it being reheated, is poured straight into your cup. Hence first cup after having left the machine for an hour or so is alot cooler.MY search for a REAL Hot water dispenser continues (why is it so difficult to find one !!!)
