A solid first person shooter
(A summary of the game in the forms of pros and cons is below)Black ops 4 is surprisingly a great game, bearing in mind the few bugs and crashes it has in its current state. It delivers a fun experience across all gamemodes. The game consists of three online modes and one solo gamemode: Multiplayer, Zombies and Blackout, with specialist stories being the "campaign" of this game.Multiplayer.The multiplayer is great fun, its fast paced without the boosting of previous games. With the blackops 4 multiplayer its addition of specialist abilities and weapons to each character provides a fun new tactical experience, the multiplayer has been designed around this new tactical gameplay, and is a welcoming inclusion. There is a new system to healing which has to be the best in all of call of duty history, with the new healing mechanic it allows for you to truly stay in the fight at all times instead of hiding when lowered in health, with manual healing it allows you to heal whilst still shooting someone. Gun wise, there is a decent selection of guns available in multiplayer, the mechanics of the game make them all feel fairly smooth to shoot (give or take a few guns which might have high recoil. Gamemodes and maps are fantastic, the new modes added in provide a new experience and the maps are designed very well - including some fan favourite maps too!All in all, the multiplayer is a solid experience, but a few issues arrise from this, there are crashes occaisionally and there have been some issues with spawning in the game - you can die and spawn in front of someone on the enemy team shooting at you, which can be quite frustrating.Zombies.Possibly the best of zombies yet. This has changed things up quite a lot, with the removal of old perks and inclusions of brand new ones there is a lot of new challenge to this game, and challenge wise it is the most difficult zombies yet. It is not too challenging to the extent where you dont want to play it, but instead more interesting than that of the older games. There are 3 maps (4 if you buy the season pass). Each one provides a unique experience and challenging gameplay. The easter eggs on this zombies are hard! (Easter eggs for those who do not know are the main quests for the map, to find a solution to a problem the characters have in game - usually leading to an epic boss fight). Due to this difficulty its more fun for you and your friends to try and complete it. There is a new inclusion of something called mutations which is fantastic, it allows you to create your own custom games within zombies! And its brilliant. There is also a new gamemode called zombies rush which pits you against your allies to try and get the most points in a set time.Zombies is truly fantastic, however ever there are still some bugs present within this mode.Blackout.Blackout is what PUBG should have been, its a solid battle royale experience allowing for you to do some crazy and fun things. It can really make your adrenaline flow when the games become intense. With the inclusion of vehicles to go on land, sea and air - you can truly create some amazing experiences. Every game is different, never the same. This gamemode i have had the most fun on so far, its a fantastic gamemode to play with friends. 9/10Pros and cons of Black ops 4:MULTIPLAYER PROS-Faced paced-solid mechanics-tactical gameplay-New specialist abilities provide new ways to fight and strategise-Great maps-Great gamemodes-Some new and interesting gunsMULTIPLAYER CONS-Crashes occaisionally-Noticable bugsZOMBIES PROS-Each map provides a new interesting experience-A new difficulty level than seen before-New and interesting story-Easter eggs are challenging and fun- Custom zombies, allowing for more customisation than ever- Zombie rush, a fun new game to play against your friendsZOMBIES CONS-A few crashes and bugsBLACKOUT PROS AND CONS-Intense battles on land sea and air-Fun for playing with friends-Interesting map based off of previous fan favourite maps blended into one big mapBLACKOUT CONS-Some bugs and crashes.

A PUBG & Fortnite killer this ain't!!
First off, let me just say that this isn't the PUBG or Fortnite killer that everyone was saying after the Blackout Beta a few weeks back. I've been lucky enough to have had my copy since dinner today (Oct 11th) and have had all afternoon and evening to play all the modes. Thanks Amazon for getting my copy to me super early. Firstly I will review the Battle Royal mode called Blackout. I was really looking forward to this mode, as I wasn't able to get the Beta a few weeks back. After watching some live streams on YouTube, even I thought it was going to wipe the floor with PUBG and Fortnite. After many hours playing Blackout I would give it 3 stars out of 5. I'm not a fan of the map. It feels very barren! They're isn't many landscapes to visit and there aren't many other little areas to visit to find loot, other than the big areas and the map is super small. It even feels smaller than the Sanhok map in PUBG. This other negative point is more a personal taste but the matches don't seem to last long at all. It might be because I'm more use to PUBG as a player but matches seem to only last 10 mins at the most even when you come in first place and win! Even the matches on Fortnite feel longer than these. Then finally again this might be personal taste but the guns just feel lackluster and don't seem to pack a punch and none of the assualt rifles feel different to one another. Next I will review the Zombies mode which is the cream of the crop of this package and worth a 5 out 5 stars. Treyarch have gone to great lengths to make the Zombie mode the best it's ever been. You're now able to craft items and store up a form of plasma (the proper name for it has gone from my mind at the moment) which you use to craft certain things to take into the game. Both the maps are excentlly designed especially the Titanic map which I've really enjoyed playing so far. There are plenty of secrets to uncover to progress the story onwards and having a good co-operative team working together is essential. As this to me also seems the hardest version of Zombies I've ever played and they actually include a tutorial now as well as a easy version of Zombies to break you in for the new maps. Which is a welcome inclusion in my eyes for new players to Zombies but also for veteran players to get used to the new mechanics of Zombies. Finally I'll review the multiplayer mode. The multiplayer mode I would give s 3 star out of 5. All the games I've played of Domination, Team Deathmatch and Capture The Flag all felt unbalanced. I know from the Beta that Treyarch had a lot of feedback about body armour in the multiplayer mode felt impenetrable and it still feels impenetrable now. There were loads of matches where I seemed to unload almost a full magazine on a player before I took them down but when they don't me it was a few shots and I was dead. It just made the game feel boring and frustrating especially when the body armored players from the opposing team were camping in your spawn area on Domination and basically just killing you straight away when you'd spawned. Overall I'd give this game as a package a 3 out of 5 stars. The battle royal mode sits comfortably next to PUBG and Fortnite and won't be knocking either one out the park. Zombie mode is awesome and definitely the best part out of this package and until the balancing gets sorted in multiplayer that's probably a mode I won't be touching much.

Good for a cod game but star removed for them being cheapskates
I gotta be honest that I haven't sunk as many hours into this particular COD compared to previous iterations. But to be fair, usually my pattern is to complete the story and then play multiplayer until they release a patch that completely ruins it. As you probably already know, this years COD doesn't have a story mode. And although I understand that many people couldn't care less, it's something that I have always enjoyed playing. In it's place is blackout, a battle royale mode which to be fair is quite fun and it's always nice to find a new place on the map that you recognise as an homage to a previous map in a previous COD. There is also a zombies game mode, which although not my cup of tea, is quite well put together and seems quite elaborate. The multiplayer in this COD is very reminiscent of overwatch/ rainbow six in that there are unique operators, each with their own style and special abilities for you to choose from and although it's boots on the ground, it does retain the faster paced action seen in the more futuristic games in the franchise. There's also a "mini stories" mode in which you can play through the operators backstories but from what I can tell from the few I've completed it's nothing more than a tutorial on how to play each character followed by a team battle with bots. Not exactly gripping stuff. So yeah, it's good for a COD game but I did remove a star due to them completely cheaping out and removing an element of the franchise. With the ridiculous amount of money they make on these games and having a three year development cycle, there is zero reason why they couldn't have kept a story mode in and also have all the additional elements.
