Liquitex Professional Spray Varnish, Satin, 12-oz Can

This is a satin spray varnish and works very well. I use it mostly on small acrylic paintings on paper. I have had this bottle for a few months and haven't had any issues with the spray nozzle clogging, it continues to work well. After having gone through several cans, I absolutely recommend this product. I use it outdoors due to the smell.

I use a coat or two of this varnish over waxed Hydro-Stone sculpture, to seal the wax and protect from handling. This is easily the best spray varnish I've found, and the satin finish is an excellent, mid-shininess. Other sprays have one or more of several problems: not drying evenly, being much too shiny, spraying unevenly, clogging easily, staying tacky forever, or actually soaking into the wax rather than sealing it. I end up buying this varnish by the half-dozen, since I don't want to run out halfway through a big order and have to try one of the awful substitutes (again). A single coat of this varnish covers more evenly and looks better than two or three coats of others, too. I'll keep paying the high price for this quality.

I bought the Liquitex brand because I thought it would be better than Krylon, but the Liquitex sprayer clogged up too quickly even though I turned it upside down to clear the nozzle every time I used it so this time I am buying Krylon

Liquitex also has the best directions, tutorials & help on their main website. An all around fabulous product.

I used it on a paint by number picture. It brightens the colors and makes it look more finished. I’m happy with the product.

I love this spray in the satin finish. I use it on very large painting and if you spray it on correctly, outside with no wind,it is wonderful. No overlap and just highlights the painting with no gloss just a lovely finish. Love it. I will not useanything else.
