Great accessory
With three heavy footed kids and two heavier adults, I am surprised at how robust this mat is. Very pleased. The fun does depend on what games you use it for though, so read the game reviews!

Excellent--but disposable
Generally speaking, I highly recommend dancing games for the PS2--they're great ways to get fun exercise, they make excellent party games, and they hone your sense of rhythm. The question is, which game should you get, and which dance pad?Since this pad doesn't come with a game, I'm going to ignore the software question, and focus on the hardware.I bought a Logic 3 Dance mat for my PS3 in January 2006. It's lasted pretty well, but it's slowly gotten a little more ragged around the edges. Now--after a little less than two years of being used twice a week--it seems to be on its last legs; I have to step on the arrow buttons just right to get them to register. Two years of use isn't bad for an item whose function is to get stepped on repeatedly and energetically. Having read a variety of reviews, it seems that the Logic 3 Dance Mat is actually one of the more resilient options for a dance pad.So I would certainly recommend the Logic 3 Dance Mat--you just need to realize that you will need to replace it occasionally. If you want a model you don't have to replace, you'll need to spend considerably more money and get a hard metal dance pad. (I'm not sure if Amazon sells them, but you can get them from many retailers.)One last tip: it's tempting to store your dance mat by folding it up--but that will make it go bad MUCH quicker. If at all possible, store it flat. (It's thin enough that it slides easily under an average sofa.)

Not sturdy enough for anything except very casual use
A dance mat has only one function - it has to register when you step on an arrow, and not register when you don't. Not too much to expect right? And so did this one, at first. Unfortunately it started wearing off very quickly, after just a couple of months of moderate use (like 7-feeters, a couple times a week), and in spite of proper mat care. Like with other bad dance mats, the problem is arrow stickiness - it registers when you step on the arrow, but it sometimes thinks the arrow stays pressed when you take your foot off, so when you press the same arrow again it misses this.So if you're going to use it very casually, and only dance very simple songs, go for it, why not. But if you're even a medium level player, just forget it, it's not sturdy enough. I know soft mats don't last forever, but most I tried took a lot more heavy use before developing any problems. And disregard all 5/5 reviews - most people review dance mats a few days after receiving them, but problems like that take a few weeks to develop.

Poor quality and STINKS
Now I know dance mats will become unresponsive after time, but after 2 gos? I got it out this morning and had 2 dances. I left it out whilst I went out and came back to a house that stunk of the dance mat. It really does reek.I played on it again and the buttons were already starting to go - it didn't matter if I used the ball, heel or all of my foot, or on the carpet or hard floor. To give you an idea of how unresponsive it has become in the space of 12 hours, I went from being able to score 100k on Dance Fest to 20k. I certainly hope the replacement isn't as bad!

The grooviest looking dancemat around
I bought this dance mat a long time ago, probably one or two years ago now. It's really good, not much different to other mats, however after all this time it has started to not work as well as it did, and even if I press some of the pads, the game claims I haven't! Overall, it's a good buy... but beware!

Scadente
