Is this still a fire hazard?
Bought this to replace an earlier model which served us well and didn't kill us in our sleep. After reading a Which review on the previous model which warned of a fire risk I contacted the manufacturers who assured me the matter had been rectified. Great freezer a little noisier than the previous one but good nonetheless.

Frost free
Replaced old freezer with this, chosen mainly cos frost free. Seems ok - does the job. Bit Noisy but that’s the frost free aspect I guess and can’t be helped. I generally like hotpoint.

a new model should really be an improvement
This one is very noisy and the shelves are a bit sticky to pull out. For the price it's not really much better than the old one which is well worn - bit of a disappointment.
