Great Watch
This is a great watch. I selected this model because I have small wrists and was worried it would not fit and would look big on my arm. This is a great watch to keep track of calories with. You can also enter the calories you eat. You can enter how much weight you want to loose and it will tell you how many calories you can eat a day. It tracks your heart rate and then based on the data you have input lets you know how many calories you are burning. I used it when I was on a tread mill with the heart rate monitor and found that it tracked my heart rate the same. I've used it for tennis, nautilus etc. This watch might be a little difficult to use for someone running. If that is your main sport I would recommend a watch with a heart strap as you have to place two of your fingers on either side of your watch to get your heart rate. Im sure it can be done while running but I would think it would be rather annoying.

This is PERFECT as long as you do your homework and understand how HR monitors work!
I specifically wanted a strapless HR monitor because messing with a chest strap before and after each workout, caring for it to keep it from getting musty, and changing batteries all the time is annoying if you work out >7 times per week. Some of the reviewers are angry that the watch does not magically take your pulse without touching it. Perhaps they think because there is a pulse point on your wrist, a watch could take your HR consistently. That would be a very tight and uncomfortable watch! This watch is cute and fits my weirdly tiny wrists. It's got a lot of features and is very user-friendly. Most of them are quite intuitive. This little device is simply fantastic and the HR reading is generally accurate. Even the most expensive monitors with straps are not 100% accurate. I would recommend to anyone who loves fitness and gadgets!

Should have learned my lesson.
This is my second Mio petite HR monitor. The first one would take forever to get a HR reading and I got sick of waiting for it so I threw it across the gym. That was 3 years ago so I thought why not try the new model when I was in the market for another HR monitor a couple months ago. I should have learned my lesson the first time. I'll start out by saying it is stylish and the watch function works great! Other than that I'm very disappointed. Once again it takes forever for a HR reading. But it does seem to give pretty accurate readings when I do finally get one. The calorie counter is always off.......and not by a little......sometimes as much as double off the correct calorie count. I no longer use that function.......I use an online calorie calculator based on HR. All in all I would not recommend this HR monitor to a friend unless they were looking for a pretty expensive pink watch.

Wrist monitor not great
At first, the watch did well checking my pulse. I usually had to try 3 times to get one reading. Later, it took 5, then 10, then I just could never get a reading. I loved the alarms, the color, the size. I wanted it to work. Oh well.

Great Watch
I love this watch. It is so easy to use. The setup so you can start using it is so simple. I use it just to count calories burned while I Zumba. It works great and very accurate. I don't participate in any other forms of exercise, but feel certain that it would perform equally well to help motivate you by giving you accurate and reliable information.

Only detects HR 1 out of 10 tries
This watch is nice looking and I was happy when I received it. It says petite but it's not actually very petite on small wrists. It worked okay at first, detected heart rate half of the time but after three weeks or so of using it, it would not detect my heart rate anymore. Frustrating while in the middle of a workout

Could not get Mio Motiva to work.
I purchased the Mio Motiva based on a recommendation. I set it up per instructions, and it would not calculate calories burned. I had other people look at the instructions (to see if I was missing something), and still no deal. I will say that Mio Customer Service is Outstanding! I emailed with them, and they determined that my item was defective. Amazon Customer Service is also Outstanding. They sent me a new Motiva, free of charge, and also paid for me to return the original. But..... I had the same problem with the second Motiva - still would not calculate calories. Emailed with Mio, again, and they believe the second Motiva is also defective. It seems pretty far fetched, to me, that I would have received a second defective item... but... Mio was awesome about it. They sent me a Mio Drive + Petit, to try, and see if I could get it to work. The Drive + works great!

Way too waterproof!
I really like this tracker, for the most part. Style is appealing, it's very simple to use, and it's pretty accurate. The problem is that I bought it mainly because it's waterproof up to 30 meters. I swim just about everyday & I wanted to be able to accurately monitor my calories burned during my swim. It is, in fact, waterproof. However, it would not connect with my wrist well enough to get a read out, which is very disappointing. Other than that, I love it.
