ZTE Reef (Virgin Mobile)

So far I really like this phone, the messaging and web are incredibly fast for 3G, it take quality photos and video, plus its waterproof and the youtube reviews seem to back up this claim, I don't plan to test it for verification. My only real gripe is the audio quality during phone calls is poor, I contacted Vigin Mobiles customer services and was impresed with their professionalism and efforts to improve my service. They performed diagnostics and the audio did improve but its random. This issue may be due to the region I reside in, there are lots of bodies of water, hills and mountains that affect cell signals, I had simular issues with my last verizon cotract. I will live with it for now and give Virgin mobile more chances to improve this issue, I'm having lots of fun with this phone though.:-)

Not what I expected.... however, this thing is still working, even after having gone through several traumatic events. I give it four stars as This Phone has been a great help while driving across country, as far as service, when my "other expensive" phone did not have connection/service this phone and Virgin Mobile never let me down. The battery tends to last forever (*I utilized the airplane mode a lot though). Issues: Camera not worthy. Great second phone or for a young person.

All in all, the phone is a very nice phone. Have had no crashes. Occassionally some apps will freeze but that's likely the app and not the phone. Swype keyboard is cool!! However, the camera is not good. Most of my pictures are blurry or not nearly the vibrant colors of my last phone. I cannot use apps like Target Cartwheel because the camera will not focus on the bar codes. If you are looking for a phone for calling and texting, this is great. If you want to have a quality camera, better look elsewhere.

It didn't always provide clear reception but the camera was great! I've notice that the reception is for some reason improving with time (not sure why). Overall, for the money it's a pretty neat (I'm showing my age lol) product and I would recommend it.

All in all, I love this phone... but it IS rather slow. This doesn't bother me so much because I'm pretty patient, but I could see this bothering an avid techie pretty quickly. For the money though, this is the best virgin mobile phone for me.

This fone is a great value if u buy a rubber case protector with it this fone is nice in the palm of your hand it's not fast come but its reliable and never let me down...good call quality and battery is OK if you use WiFi it will drain fast but that's normal..u can still get latest apps like waze and etc to work such as maps that's mostly GPS and I like that it's helped me out

I'm the first to admit, I do not know much about cell phones only that I don't want to pay to much for something that will be behind the times in a few months. I got the reef a month ago in December 2013 and absolutly love it. I'm more than happy with the picture quality and the speed of the phone. My wife who has a better phone and knows more about them than me is thinking of getting one for herself and that says alot.

I purchased this item for my son for Christmas. The phone arrived packaged properly and looked new. We thought it was a good buy at first. But about a month after he got the phone the phone started resetting it self over and over. Since then we've had trouble with the phone not posting text and turning it self off. Please do not purchase this phone.
