Best Breyer unicorn EVER!!! I absolutely love it! It came in perfect condition. I have collected Breyer for a long time and mythical creature figures recently, and this unicorn goes great with both collections. He is much more realistic than so many unicorn toys out there.Regarding the actual item, the pictures do not do it justice. In broad light the unicorn looks just white - but put him in direct light and his hair sparkles like magic and his body shines with lavender color. The realism and detail on this model is astonishing, just like all of Breyer's models. Also, it's easier to distinguish him as the mythical creature he is, unlike many of Breyer's previous unicorns; so if you're looking for a Breyer unicorn, I highly recommend this one.This is definitely a must-have for any Breyer or fantasy collector. I got this at Christmas time, so naturally it would be selling as gifts - however, I have seen this item sell much faster than any other items I have looked at. At one point Amazon had plenty in stock and it sold out in less than a day! So if you want this horse, you had better snatch it up the first chance you get, for it's very popular and hard to find for a good price.I have posted a couple of pictures, though they do not show the color as brilliantly. You have to see the item in person to really appreciate it.

If your child/grandchild is into unicorns, this is the one to get them. My granddaughter loves unicorns and already had 2 or 3 Breyers. This one, Xavier, is huge compared to others, 1:9 scale, I think, with beautiful color, elegant. I would say it's more for collecting than a toy. My granddaughter has him displayed on shelf, plays with the others, like Forthwind, but says Xavier to pretty to play with. She is 8 years old and this is her favorite Breyer so far.

It is a beautiful big model. Only problem was the horn is slightly off center on mine but this is minor to me. Don't care he is still very pretty, he is silver with a hint of lavender, very pearly in bright light. variation is common so no two are alike. overall I would call him well crafted.

The Breyer California Chrome model is a beautiful representation of the beloved racehorse. The markings are accurate and I love the way his muscles are accentuated with shadows and highlights. He comes packaged in a display box bearing his photographs and some fun facts and quotes about him. My only complaint is that Breyer reuses sculpts instead of creating a new one for each horse, but this probably keeps the price reasonable.

I have collected Breyers my whole life and now my little girl is into them. This guy is gorgeous - subtle shimmery paint job, beautiful face and eyes. Just be careful with the horn! I keep waiting for ours to break off somehow but so far my daughter has been very careful with him.

Had him on my fireplace mantel and his feet stuck to it. The craftsmanship of it looks very off and the eyes look sloppy. BUT. My daughter LOVES this unicorn.
