Not sure why the rave reviews here
I know there are other reviewers that seem to LOVE this stuff, but after trying other basic shower oils (one that I found at a Ross in San Francisco was a Jason cosmetics coconut one that smelled delicious, lathered just a bit, and left me feeling clean with minimal amounts of product), this one just didn't impress me. At. All.It seemed like I had to really load up my wash cloth/bath sponge, or whatever I applied this to, in order to get any sort of feeling that it was cleaning my skin, and even after all of that, and using FAR too much product to make this cost-effective, I still felt compelled to redo my bath with something else so that I felt properly clean. For me, bathing is an opportunity to relax, decompress, and feel squeaky clean. This product takes a lot of that enjoyment away for me, and feels like too much work to get it to properly clean.

Fleeting Strong Fragrance, Lovely Feel
This is an indulgent shower product. I personally would use it after washing with soap or shower gel, as a finisher to help lock in moisture or just as something that feels nice. I really like the Happy Buddha Shower Oil scent of cedar and sweet orange, and it has a pleasing feeling when massaged into the skin in a hot shower. It basically envelops the senses of touch and smell in a warm cocoon of pampering goodness. This is the type of product I would expect to find at a high-end spa. The scent is initially strong, but disperses quickly leaving a milder, lingering aroma. The packaging looks and feels accordingly high-end.Having it in my home shower is great. I get to feel indulgent AND like I'm doing something good for myself all at once. The oil mostly rinses off, but does leave a slight film to help trap moisture in you skin leaving it feeling soft and supple. I wish I had the entire "4 Touches of Happiness" line to use all together, but think this may be the keystone product. The pump dispenses the oil efficiently and without mess. Some of it leaked during shipping, but the contain was intact so I have to assume it was due to rough handling and/or temperature differentials. Just be aware of this potential issue. Otherwise, I couldn't be happier with the Happy Buddha Shower Oil.~ Kort

A lovely shower oil with an intoxicating scent.
Rituals has really turned showering and bathing into an art form with their products, imo.I love the scent this shower oil - sweet orange and cedar wood. The sweet orange lends a slightly sweet edge to the spiciness of the cedar and it's a wonderful scentIt's lovely when I lather it on and the scent envelopes me in the shower. The experience is of of relaxation and pampering at the same time and makes me hate to get out of the shower! The one thing I wish is that the scent would stay on my skin longer. I will probably have to layer an after shower product with this to get that effect, which I will probably do. It would be delicious to be enveloped in this scent for longer.I have not had any problems with this making the floor of my shower slick, but it is 2x2 tumbled stone and not very prone to that. I was also concerned that the red color would stain the stone, but that did not happen.I would, however, be concerned for either or both of those happening with other types of shower floors.

Decent But Pricey
This shower oil is nice; it smells nice and leaves a soft lingering scent. My one gripe is the maker prices this as though it were a more natural product. In their lines, they seem to herald one or two ingredients. here they are citrus and cedar. fine. But here is the ingredient list:Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Laureth-4, MIPA-Laureth Sulfate, Parfum (Fragrance), Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Hybrid Oil, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Propylene Glycol, Tocopherol, Cedrus Atlantica Bark Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Peel Oil, Linalool, Limonene, Hexyl Cinnamal, CitronellolThe cedar and citrus are way down the ingredient list.It does feel and smell nice, but I don't think it is anything beyond your average shower oil that can be bought for much, much less from numerous brands.

No foam no scent
This shower gel is disappointing to say the least. It's very liquid and no foam forms in the shower. The scent is very weak. I was really let down by the quality as I was hoping to get the same scent as the one from the hand soap. Don't spend a penny on this product. It's not even worth a star.

Best brand ever
This is my mum's favourite shower product. It's an oily and stays oily rather than lathering a lot so it really moisturises and cleanses your skin quite well and it smells amazing as well
