Dritz30 Yards Elastic Sewing Thread White

I had never used elastic thread before and am so very glad I tried it. I used it to fix my destressed white jeans. A lot of the distressing had torn and was now just holes - not a bad look but not what I wanted - so I used the white elastic thread to replace the torn threads. I love the result!!! Keeps my pants looking great.

The media could not be loaded. Great thread to repair OnCloud running shoes, thin yet durable leaving flex to move with foot. Highly recommend. Make sure you have a needle with a large enough eye.

Very thin

After researching the availability of “elastic” thread both online and on Amazon I soon discovered that not all thread that claimed to be elastic were and not all threads were of the quality and width I was looking for. It should be thin or as close as possible to sewing thread but as stretchy as elastic and be of a quality fiber and strength. I also purchased at the same time another elastic thread that was economical for the quantity of the spool, but the quality was NOT EVEN comparable to this one, nor worth ruining your hard work for just to save a few dollars. I am thrilled with the quality of this authentic elastic sewing thread! The size is perfectly thin, less than 0.5 mm if compared with the other purchased thread but wider than regular sewing thread. The purpose of my purchase was to knit it into the ribbed cuffs of my personal luxury 100% Cashmere knitting projects (leg warmers, winter ear muffs/head bands, glove cuffs, sock cuffs etc), for better form and fit. It works brilliantly! I’m so happy to have finally found the perfect elastic thread! WORTH EVERY PENNY!

I have 4 pairs of ski pants (all the same brand) where the seam in the crotch came apart on me. This thread repaired my issues and fixed the weak area on my pants - even after days of aggressive skiing, there has been no further crotch-ripping. Everything is holding together splendidly. The thread is strong, and its elasticity is perfect for this type of application.I hand-sewed everything, and the only issue I noticed with the thread is that it tends to fray a little after being constantly pulled through fabric - I just dealt with it and carried on. The end result was worth it!

It was stretchy, and seemed nice. It had a bit of un threading and fraying however I purchased this for shirring a dress. It wasnt that great for that specific project.
