Good. Can be trusted on multiple day Treks.
This is a Pre-Use Review.Ordered on 1/11/2015. Delivered on 4/11/2015.I go on at least 2 treks per year. My Girlfriend joined me last year. She thought that her first trek would be her last and bought a cheap trekking pole online at Rs. 450. One of the locks broke on its 2nd trek this year in June while going up to Taktsang Monastery, Bhutan. So I ordered this one for her.Pros:Strong yet Light material. Seems to support my weight quite well (72 kg).The twist locks seem to be of good quality and are holding the segments tight.Comes with Anti-Shock spring mechanism which can be toggled on/off by a twisting method. The Cork handle is very comfortable to grip and doesn't slip even if your hands are sweaty. The metal tip seems descent. The rubber shoe also provides a spring like cushion effect and has wonderful grip on plain surface. The strap is padded.Cons:The rubber shoe moves around and may need to be straightened repeatedly while hiking.I prefer a pointed metal tip like my old Annapurna Trekking Pole (Bought from Darjeeling Fancy Market)The strap length adjustment system needed to be better.Cork handle may erode due to chipping away on prolonged use.Only one Basket which is ordinary. (Small one)No snow basket (wide one)Summary:I more or less liked this Pole and have immediately ordered a second one for myself which will serve as my secondary hiking pole on my next trek. I will publish a Post-use review after I return on my blog www.bangalibackpacker.blogspot.in along with a video review on youtube. Till then, Happy Hiking friends.

Excellent!
I just used this on a 7 day winter trek, and was very happy with its performance. It's light, the grip is ergonomically great, and the build quality was pretty solid. The pole-end attachments proved to be very handy as we trekked through a variety of terrains. The higher price (as compared to other, cheaper poles on the market) was well justified.

The retractable feature is not very effective
I bought it specifically for my trek in the Himalayas. While it was quite useful for most part of the trip, one of the segments came loose within 3 days of use.

Terrific for all terrains
I did the Kashmir Great Lakes trek with this pole. Whether it鈥檚 slippery or boulders or normal climbing, this pole is versatile. The horse shoe rubber was most handy while walking on boulders. Would recommend this pole hands down to anyone

This is a good trekking pole
I have been using previous poles for some time but felt that I needed a better one as the older ones wore out. This Coleman was recommended by Amazon and it is well worth it. It is light, comfortable to use and helps me walk safer and quicker. Definitely a good buy!

Clearly no a new pole
I ordered two of these poles. One was nicely wrapped up and a label and extra snow foot was attached. It was easy to telescope out to the right height. The other pole, I bought two, had been taken apart, snow foot was missing and it was completely put together totally wrong. It took us over half an hour to figure it out and get it right. Some one had it before me. Not happy.

La mejor inversi贸n en bastones馃憤馃徎

Was missing a piece and something was somehow jammed so could not be assembled.
I feel this item was sent back and then just shipped out again. I even had someone familiar with trekking poles try to put it together but "no joy". Since there are so many positive reviews and Coleman is a reputable name I think that if you are lucky enough to get one that has not had a previous owner that it may be okay.
