Great gimbal, light, and works very quickly and effectively
My first gimbal and an absolute winner. Tried it with a Canon R50V + 18-150 and with an R5 II + 35/1.4 and it was fast to get balanced and then operated flawlessly. The face tracker is first class and easy to use and especially with the second handle (I got the bundle) is very easy to hold and maneuver. Also tried it with a Shinobi II monitor mounted to the handle with a curly HDMI cable to the camera - I though the varying tension of the cable might throw it off but it worked great.Seems very nicely made and just works in minutes from unpacking. Charges fast too - only drawback would seem to be the non-replaceable battery but the light weight is a real positive.

Great gimbal
Upgraded from the DJI Ronin RS3 Mini - many nice new features. Different coating so adjusts much easier and micro-adjustment knob is great addition. Easy to setup and balance with Nikon Z6iii and Z6ii. Bluetooth control works flawlessly with both cameras. Bought combo kit with auto-tracker and suitcase handle included.

Extremely cool and feature packed lightweight gimbal
This is my first gimbal and all I can say is wow! DJI makes very high quality products and this is no different. The auto locking feature is a game changer and the battery life is phenomenal. I use a Sony mirrorless camera with a Tamron 28-75mm and the RS4 Mini will balance so quickly and easily. Connecting to the app is very straightforward and it allows you to adjust all features on the gimbal. If this came with a case for a few extra $$ I would have been happy to pay for that, but it is a brand new product and that might be something in development. Excellent product, DJI!

Not what you need
Update: not only did I watch my $5,000 camera / lens hit the ground because this snapped in half at the handle. My camera and my lens weigh just over 2 lbs. Yet this is rated for 4.4 lbsWhich now I know is only held together by a small piece of metal on one side with tiny little screws and what seems to have broke on the other side thin pieces of plastic with tiny little screws. But I found out that I have to send it in which takes 2 weeks then it will take at least 2 weeks to fix it so I'm out the product that I need for my business. For over a month.Unless you want a similar experience I highly recommend you do not do business with DJI.Update:Honestly the more I use this the more I realize it was not built properlySo today I learned that you cannot use the Bluetooth functionality and the wired functionality at the same time.Which means you can connect it to your camera via the cable and control the focus ISO aperture but you cannot control the zoom because that only works via the Bluetooth functionalityAnd they cannot be used at the same time.Such a waste of good technologyPrevious review:Started off with a really bad experience* it shook the entire time moving left or right with the joystick (even with being perfectly balanced)* calibration didn't work after many tries failed every time* the update process took 2 tries because the app fully crashed during the first try* dji forces you to log in and give them so many permissions just to use it after 5 trys which includes turning it off/ which i had to do because out of the box it wasn't working properly at allCons:* the screen doesn't always work when you try to swipe and the UI is definitely not beginner user friendly* too many steps to be able to make basic changes/ especially changes to the joysticks movement ie slowing it down/ far too many steps you have to take within their menu by swiping down picking the part that you need to use and then making your adjustmentsShould have been on the first screen as that's one of the most important partsF- after you go through and make all of your adjustments as soon as you turn it off they're all gone you have to start over from scratch every time you turn it on* the locking motors is one of the best features I've ever seen on a gimbal don't get me wrong but it takes too long to turn back on* no way to track non human subjects/ there is no camera app that gives you Ai tracking functionality like other much cheaper brands* no phone mount came with the over $500 gimbal* no case came with it*screw to hold phone is Extremely short*dial wheel is way to small made for tiny fingers/ hard to use it smoothly with larger fingersHonestly for the price you pay they should have included a case and the phone mount they are always included with cheaper gimbal brands they give you them for even $150 gimbals.. very disappointingThat combined with all the out of the box issuesDefinitely not a good start or a good company first impression so far...I will update my review after I get a chance to try it againUpdate:Honestly it's not a bad gimbal and its ability to perform the motions properly, but the overall thought process of the UI screen layout and the basic functions being hid in different menus that don't always work especially when you need them to considering the touch screen is not flawless. That combined with the fact that it doesn't have a dedicated AI camera app that you can use that gives you abilities with the AI tracking module and access to the settings so that you can work it properly in the first place, like every other brand out there including the much much cheaper onesJust shows that DJI cares about your money but not about giving you what you're paying for.Just the basics they can get away with.Honestly overall I'm very disappointed..I would not recommend purchasing from Dji

Great, but annoying that they did not not use a standard arca swiss plate.
Pros:Excellent Tracking Performance: The tracking module is a game-changer, especially for dynamic movements. After the firmware update, tracking performance improved significantly, allowing for smoother subject tracking and better framing adjustments.Build Quality: Solid construction with well-designed features.Auto-Lock and Customization: Convenient locking mechanisms and customizable controls enhance usability.Cons:Firmware Updates Can Be Confusing: The app prompts you to update the gimbal firmware, but the tracking module must be updated separately.Quick Release Plate Compatibility Issues: Standard quick-release plates from PGYTECH, Falcam, etc., are not compatible with the stock plate.Balancing Challenges with Quick Release Adapters: If you try to mount a quick-release base on top of the OEM quick-release plate, it pushes the camera further out, increasing torque. This setup prevents the depth adjustment of the roll axis from being pushed down any further—at least with an FX30 paired with a Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 or Sirui 23mm f/1.2. I couldn't balance the depth portion of the roll axis so I took off my quick release plates.Potential Motor Stress: While the motors may compensate for minor balance issues, it can lead to overheating and reduced battery life.Solution:SmallRig is releasing a third-party quick-release plate with standard Arca-Swiss compatibility, which should resolve these balancing issues.Overall, the RS 4 Mini is a fantastic gimbal, but be mindful of firmware updates and quick-release plate compatibility. The tracking module, once updated, offers a major improvement in performance, making it a great addition for dynamic shooting scenarios.
