Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway, Circus Train 3-Pack

Awesome accessory to compliment other Thomas trains already in a set. Well made all around, from the plastic cars to the wooden animals. Strong magnets allow you to have a long train of fun!

5 year old grandson loves these cars and animals. Loves to take them out and set them up on his table-top layout with other animals that he has. Likes these cars with more interaction than just running around the tracks.

Looks great but fails miserably. These suffer from the same limiting defect as the drive unit (Thomas and the oil tanker). The magnets that hold the cars together are weak. Another issue is, according to the manufacturer, these are compatible will "ALL" wooden train track sets. That is true to a point. On the more deluxe track sets, where you have multiple levels of train track, and mountains the cars go through, the animals stick out too far and prevent the train from going underneath the raised levels and the tunnels in the mountain pieces. The drive unit also doesn't have enough power to push the entire set up the ramp leading to the elevated levels. So, a bit of misinformation means a star is removed. This is only good on a 1 level track that doesn't have any ramps or tunnels or other obstacles

This is the cheapest and most flimsy of all the Thomas trains we've urs chased to date, and we've gotten a lot of them. It doesn't stay on the track going up, down or around. Even on straight track the cars are so light they don't stay in line. Very cheap plastic! Animals are made of composite and are heavier than the cars which makes the cars tip over when they are in them. Fisher-Pricer should be ashamed of the way the quality of their toys has dropped. I'm concerned about the paint and varnish that their Chinese manufacturer uses as well. I wouldnt give this product a star at all, but I needed to for the review. Save your money a better product.

The animals r too heavy for the train cage they fall over when they go around a turn...

Although Fisher-Price has unnecessarily complicated the Thomas line, the wooden railway remains a favorite staple. The Circus Zoo Cars are exactly the same and the animals are actually more interesting than the old ones. Delivery was fast.

Saying this is wood is an overstatement. The only wood on the train is the black section at the bottom. The rest is plastic, which I guess is to be expected considering the construction. The animals are about 3/8" thick and are more like puzzle pieces than toys. The are really too heavy for the train and make it tip over. I am substituting small plastic animals. Did you know this purchase is 3 packages of these 3 train cars? So what you get in this purchase is 9 cars and 9 wooden animals. They are in 3 separate packages so you could use them for gifts if you did not want that many. I will say I was surprised and did not realize I was getting 3 boxes. When I went back and read the description, I found it to be vague and can understand how I made the mistake.

I bought this to go with the Thomas birthday engine. It is going to used on a cake with a theme of Thomas Goes To The Big Top. It looks great. The added bonus is it can be played with after the party.
