Good screen, broken stand

This was a birthday present but arrived with a damaged stand which could not be put together. However, the screen worked fine and my son was very keen to get his gaming station set up so I requested a new stand. I sent photos to show the problem. I was told I would need to send back the whole thing, together with the screen, for 'warranty purposes'. I just wanted a new stand and said so. My son didn't want to dismantle his set-up so the screen remains propped up on some books, without a functioning stand. Not helpful, not flexible and a bit disappointing.
