Finally! Something that works and is EASY!
I've tried every diet known to mankind except the crazy extreme ones that common sense dictates are just not healthy. This way of living (I refuse to call it a diet) works! I was skeptical. I mean come on, Suzanne Somers has the answer to my problems after 40 years of battling the bulge? Well she does! That title does not lie - Eat, cheat and melt the fat away. My husband, son and I are all doing this and collectively we have lost over 32 pounds in one month - I lost 13 of those. And we haven't increased our activity or exercise. Best part is we in no way feel deprived. Granted the first couple of days I would have paid a king's ransom for a big, doughy bagel with cream cheese but after that passed it was smooth sailing. This is super easy to follow with no annoying points or calories to count. And you can totally go out to eat on this plan and not be relegated to only the salad menu. I highly recommend giving this a try.

BEST WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT. WAY OF LIFE NOT A DIET.
This is the best diet EVER. If you have most of your weight around your mid section you probably have a Hormonal imbalance. This diet is the best for that and it is the ONE DIET that you will loose the weight. BE careful of foods that trick you. Sauces with sugars or flour (Starch) that ups your insulin and you store fat. Once you know the 8 rules and UNDERSTAND what raises your insulin you have this in the bag. You will loose so easy. If you are not you are eating foods with hidden sugars or starches with fats. Once you realize NO sugar or Starches with any fats and what ups your insulin and not to eat fats when your insulin is high, plus lots of water. You will lose the weight. This book seems to be easier than her other books to follow. I would have to say this is my favorite. Good Luck to you all.

great weight loss system, plus I never felt healthier
I highly recommend this book for anyone who is trying to lose weight and get fit. IF you have tried everything else and are at a loss of what to do next, then what have you got to lose. The Susanne Somers way really worked for me. When you read the book, everything is explained about how the food turns to sugar. Here's the kicker, I am returning this book because I already have this one. Since I am restarting the program, I wanted the first book. This one is book #2. You can still start with it.but Iwanted Get skinny eating great food .

I ate, cheated, melted and went broke!
Don't get me wrong, this diet worked for me and many others whom I have spoken to. But if you don't follow it to a "t", then you are doomed to gain weight, which is what happened to my mother, who followed the diet and snuck a few pieces of non-sugarless candy when I wasn't looking.This book doesn't once discuss the issue of salt intake, and everything in the diet basically contains a high amount of salt. For example, cheese is basically the only snack you can eat when you have a sugar craving (and the waxy sugarless candies). If you are watching your salt, then maybe this diet isn't for you. I found myself cosuming tremendous amounts of salt and going out of my way to buy special breads and pastas that were a lot more expensive than the usual brands that you see like Golden Grain. You will end up spending most of your shopping time at Trader Joe's to find these special wheat and sugarless items, I ended up spending twice more on groceries than I usually do..but I guess it's worth it to people who want to really lose the weight.Another problem I faced was eating out at resturants. You have to eat foods that were cooked in certain oils and shove the hot n' steamy bread basket aside. I found myself asking the waiter more questions than was necessary.."Is there sugar added in the sauce? Is there carrots in that salad? (you can't eat carrots on this diet)Is there sugar in the dressing?" Most of the time, they don't know the answer, so you have to risk your diet.Believe me, it works. I lost about 7 pounds in one week alone eating fatty foods. Try it out for a month and see if you like it, but I have a few tips:Read the book at least two times before you try the food!Understand what Somersizing is about!Take notes, post the notes on the fridgeGet a friend to join in so you can compete with eachother =)I STRONGLY urge you to participate in the [...] message board where people offer recipes and advice. (tons of help!)Get another full-time job (at Trader Joe's) Just kidding..

This Book STILL is the Key to My Weight Loss Success
Even though many of the reviews are a bit old, I have to say that this book and Suzanne's food concepts really work. When I need to loose a few pounds and keep them off, this is the book I turn to time and time again for encouragement and the delicious recipes. The first time I used this book about 5 years ago, I lost about 27 pounds in just a month and kept it off. In Suzanne's book, there is no starving. Suzanne offers not only the food combining approach but also the reasoning to it such as combining fats with carbohydrates = fat cells. When you food combine properly such as not eating meats with breads you will find that you crave less and less carbohydrates such as sugars and starches. It takes a few days to a week to "adjust" but once you do, you will find it easier to walk by all the tempting foods and junk foods you used to purchase in the store or junk food stands.You can also join her online for additional information and support. I am not a hugely overweight person but due to being in my late 40's and having a very busy lifestyle as a single super mom, I don't have the time to follow a very strict regimen. Suzanne makes it SO EASY to follow as you just learn what to eat and not to for food combining, you can take the idea anywhere in a restaurant or at home. I am hitting this book again now due to allot of crazy changes the past year which affected my health due to several surgeries and lifes stresses. I gained back a few pounds, by not following the combing. I can tell you this book IS SO WORTH IT. I feel like a million dollars when I follow the program.. alot happier, lighter on my feet, and have more energy to do the things I want to do.

I like this plan and it works!
I did this diet when it first came out and it works and I feel great when I eat this way, simple to follow and you can eat lots of yummy foods. In my opinion Trim Healthy Mama is similar. I'm in my 40's now and it's harder to loose but I still think this plan works.

WHAT A WAY TO DIET
Really interesting and very helpful. I will definitely be trying this new way of eating. If anyone is looking for a way to eat good food and still lose weight this is the book to read.

I did this diet 20 years ago and i lost weight ,,it does not feel as though you are dieting at all ,I bought this book again because I have gained weight and this is the only diet that has ever helped me to lose the weight ,love suzanne somers !

I have been on her program for 4 weeks and I have lost 10 lbs so far. I don't want to loose weight fast so my progress is perfect. I still have another 10 to 20 to go but I am confident I will get there! Highly recommend this book. So easy to read and follow, it's amazing. Her recipes are fantastic and full of flavor! I cook with her recipes on a daily basis!

Highly Recommended
Excellent book with lots of information about glucose levels. Great if you're a Diabetic and even if you just want to shed those extra pounds. Very informative for so many different things. I've suggested it to friends and family.
