Great product. Great price. I recommend.
I did the research and read all the reviews on a million of these kettles. I wanted a good quality kettle that also looks nice out in the open. I am always willing to pay more for better quality. I considered many more expensive brands but I finally settled on this one which is much less expensive then SO many others. So far, it's perfect. You can see in my photo that I keep it right out in the open in my office and it looks nice and it looks really cool when it's on as it lights up blue, very cool looking . It is tucked right in the corner on my cabinet. It's a simple switch to turn it on and it heats water very quickly. The wide opening makes it very easy to fill and easy to clean. The entire base does not heat up, so I am never worried about burning myself or anyone else when the kettle is not on the base, which is really nice. The one thing that I think would be nice is if the cord was a little bit longer, but it works perfectly fine for me as is and I don't think I would want a crazy long cord anyway... It's working perfectly as it is and where I have it. And for this you can't beat the price. You don't need to spend all of the extra money unless you want to pay for a name or a certain look for your kettle. This one is great. It's glass but I can also see traveling with this and just packing it really well so it doesn't crack. I am 100% happy with this product and I do recommend it to anyone. You can't control the temperature on this item but you don't really need to either so I give the temperature control five stars because it boils the water as it should, I don't need to know how hot it is, I don't really care. 🙂

Lasted 4 months
Update March 2023. After daily use for 4 months, today we set the kettle onto its base and flipped the switch to heat roughly 1 liter of water. Something seemed off; the blue LEDs came on but no hissing sound after 30 seconds. After 60 seconds. Another 15 seconds go by and we start to hear the initial sounds of heating. I put my hand against the kettle bottom where the heating coils are: slightly warm.OK this was interesting, we decided to wait and let it do its thing. Almost 6 minutes in, the sound faded toward silence and the surface of the water began to jiggle. Eventually got to a rolling boil but nowhere near what it had done for the past 4 months. We let it boil to see if it would auto-shut off. It did not. 4 minutes of boiling did nothing to shut off the kettle. The boil never got as intense as earlier days.My guess is there must be at least 2 heating coils inside this thing, and 1 of them had burned out. It's now faster to boil water on our induction stovetop in a covered saucepan.Time for another kettle. Won't be buying this one.Original review:This is our 3rd such glass kettle. It comes with a potentially serious hazard. Whereas other kettle brands turn off the power switch when you lift the kettle off the base, this one does not. Power switch only goes off for 2 out of 3 reasons; you manually turn it off or it turns itself off when boiling water heats the glass enough to trigger a thermister in the handle. If you lift the kettle while it boils but don't manually turn off the switch, it remains on. When you then set the empty kettle back on its base, it immediately starts heating again. With no water in it, the heating element overheats very fast and destroys itself.Mindful people shouldn't have a problem seeing the blue lights come on and recognizing the problem."Mindful people" usually doesn't include children.

Liked it so much I own TWO now
The title says is all. I originally bought this electric tea kettle to have in our downstairs unit for AirBnB visitors to use. I followed the instructions to prep it where you boil water and dump out 2 times and use filtered water from my Brita in it. I was so impressed within heating water for my first cup of tea, I started using it myself in the kitchen instead of my stovetop tea kettle. (hahaha, this is why I had to buy a second one so the guests would get one too!). I also now use it to make French Brewed coffee! Here's more reasons why I like it:* IT HEATS FAST: This is way faster than my stovetop tea kettle and depending on how much water you have in it, it heats in 5 minutes or less.* IT'S SAFE: Once it starts boiling, it turns off in about 60 seconds or less. (I tried to upload a video showing this, but it didn't work). Anyway, the pad that it's sitting on is also cool to the touch at all times because of the induction heating and it's super easy to just lift the tea kettle off the base and pour to your heart's content. The only thing that gets hot is the glass part, but there is a huge and sturdy handle to lift the tea kettle up, so you won't have skin contact with anything hot.*IT'S ELEGANT: I really like the look of this model and think the blue glow while it's on is pretty. (The light turns off as soon as it starts boiling)

Simple kettle to have for making milk tea.
I use this to make milk tea Indian style with loose leaf . It works great and simple. It stops automatically when it reaches certain temperature (boiling water). It does not have any display to show current temperature but it does the job of boiling water. Many people say it has plastic inside which it does to seal the electrical components from water so that you can wash it inside the jar. I guess it’s bpa free as it was stated in the description, so I am not worried about hitting some plastic material that touches the water. Another things it is missing is the temperature control so it keeps it warm all the time. Well I guess I am asking too much for the money I paid. It is similar and it works great.
