I brought this into work to use while replacing some light fixture ballasts. Worked well as expected on the 18AWG solid core wire they had. The cutters were very sharp and the stripper holes cut around the wire nicely. Its relatively compact size maneuvered well in confined areas and fit well in my tool bag with limited space. The locking mechanism works just fine when I need to put the tool in my pocket or the tool bag or just lay it down. Very happy with this purchase.

I've been stripping wires for a little while with this product. It works great. It has a nice feel in the hand. It strips wires nicely. The tip has a tiny plier built in which is useful when twisting wires together. The built in cutter works well as well. it has a lock to keep it closed and safe when not in use. Well made. Good feel.

Only had a chance to use briefly since I received it, but it worked well .. like a wire stripper!. It was easy to use and very comfortable in the hand. Unless I lose it (bad habit of mine!!) I would expect this to last me many years.

I purchased these to replace my old gardener bender wire crimps but I find I still use my old GB crimps rather than these. These have a simple nut and bold holding them together and they are either to tight or to loose. I recommend passing on this cheap Chinese tool and pay a little more for a higher quality one.

It's what I wanted for that I wanted to pay and is better quality than I expected. Instead of having to buy 2 tools,I got 2 in 1. Only thing I see failing is maybe the middle bolt coming loose but loctite will fix that when and if it ever happens.

Bought these to replace my $6 pittsburgh wire strippers. Completely regret spending the money. Cutter is not sharp and the locking mechanism does not work. They will open up on their own. Unsafe and awful product. I was going to use them on the job. But now definately not. Going back to my cheap pittsburgh. Horrible product

I had read some users saying that after some time, the latch that keeps these things closed gets loose and that the strippers also become dull after working with them for a while. Well, that didn’t happen with the ones I got. Since I purchased these strippers, I’ve built two amplifiers and they worked perfectly. They are just as sharp as the day I got them and I am writing this review after building a couple of cables and using these to strip the wires. They are just as sharp as they were on day one!

I’d give it a 9 on stripping consistency, which is pretty darn good. Made of quality materials and has one of the widest ranges of applicable gauges that I’ve seen. My only complaint is that the little locking mechanism stopped working that keeps the tool closed when it is not in use. Hence the 4 star review rather than 5
