Peace of Mind
This is a must have if you have small children and you have any windows that are higher then ground level. It is Peace of mind for me. With the nice weather ahead I feel confident that I can have my windows open and my Granddaughters will be safe, and we live on the 4th floor. Don't wait get it now to keep your little ones safe

Useless for me, but because my kid's a monkey
The installation instructions could use some work, no measurements for the second set of latches, only told to install on wall where they would line up(paraphrased).I was still happy with the purchase, until I found out that for me they're useless as my child is even more fearless than I realized, and she started doing pull-ups using the tips of 6 fingers only on this and standing on the bottom bar once she was up there. Not their fault, but something to be aware of if your kid's a climber.

do not buy - impossible to assemble
This Kidco mesh window guard is impossible to assemble, because the parts do not fit together. I gave up after six hours of wasted effort on multiple assemblies/disassemblies, first following the instructions and then trying different orderings, and eventually even trying different tools (resorting to pliers and levers) -- all unsuccessful. Making things even harder, the screws and plastic parts are poor quality and would be difficult to work with even if the overall device could be assembled at all. This is my first time buying from this manufacturer, and I expect it will be my last. Do not buy!

Meets the need
Fits great, not difficult to assemble however be prepared to throw their anchoring screws away and use 1⅝" drywall screws to attach to window frame. The provided screws strip out even with the correct sized Phillip's bit. Otherwise, it's a solid product.
