Toshiba SD-V280 DVD-VCR Combo, Silver

So far, I am very pleased with this used DVD/VCR combo player. It was very well packed did not arrive damaged and came with instruction manual (partial) cables and remote as advertised. Thing is I have a brand new flat screen TV and the player was made before some of the modern additions that come with a flat screen TV, which made the manual outdated and the remote unnecessary. When we figured out the links present in the new set to work with a player, the player worked excellently, thanks to my daughter who is more tech savvy than myself. I have played one VCR and one DVD with no problems. I don't use the player often, but need one when the moment presents itself.

only worked for a day watched one vcr tape and and after watching the second one it will not eject. will you please send me my vcr tape back

It looked great right out of the box & has recorded programs for a friend of mine who does not get certain TV channels. I haven't had any problems with it at all.

THE VCR ON THE TOSHIBA VCR/DVD RECORDER , THAT I PURCHASED JULY 20, DID NOT WORK. I SPOKE TO THE SELLER GEORGE FROM NOVAETA AND HE UNDERSTOOD AND IS REFUNDING . NOTE I HAD A HARD TIME GETTING A RETURN SHIPPING LABEL FROM AMAZON-COULDN'T GET ONE . GEORGE FROM NOVAETA AS WELL AS THE REP FROM AMAZON WERE VERY PROFESSINAL, KNOWLEDGEABLE, COURTIOUS AND FRIENDLY.

I can't really comment on clarity of picture considering I'm copying very old family videos. I only used it a couple of times a couple of months ago with no issues. I'm using it again, and by the time I hit the third tape, the VCR stopped rewinding and fast forwarding. Luckily, it plays the tape still. I'm hoping that it continues to work, since I don't really want to buy another one. I can't comment on the quality of the DVD part, since I haven't had the need to use it. I'll probably see if I can find a VHS tape rewinder or something.

I received this used unit because the Tape/DVD players are obsolete and not manufactured amy more. I have old family tapes I wanted to see but I didn't want to invest a lot of money. When the player was delivered, I found that a component was needed to make it work. My friend ordered this part and connected it. It worked but I was not able to work all of this myself, which negated the entire project. After all the trouble I went through, I found out that there are units made to make the process more user friendly (I am 88 years old). These units are nearly $300. so I am considering ordering one after the holidays. Thank you for allowing me to return the player. I just wish I could have used it like I did many years ago.

Product is great, but it said included a remote, but there was no remote. Very disappointed about that.
