Looking for light weight, inexpensive kilt hose? Why sacrifice quality for economy? Glenmore kilt hose are affordable, comfortable, and exhibit the quality you expect from the House of Cheviot. Made with a 3ply Merino wool blend, they have a slightly looser knit than our other hose, making them cooler to wear. They feature a subtle mock-cable moss stitch top. Machine washable in cool water on the gentle/delicate cycle. Allow to air dry.

Recommended for Slender Calves
The socks were very difficult to put on. My calves are 16" around, which I didn't think was muscular, but they tested the limits of the socks. That said, the socks definitely aren't going to fall down once they're on! The color, the quality, and the fit on the foot are all superb, definitely meeting the standards of House of Cheviot. I bought these to have a more breathable, more casual option than the Lewis hose, but I'm not sure how much use I'll get out of them. I don't intend on buying any other selections from the Glenmore line, as I find the Lewis hose to be more comfortable and not much heavier.

OK, but not a good kilt sock IMHO.
The Bison color is nice, and the foot part of the sock fits nicely. My problem was that the top is a) tight and b) quite thin. Now I am NOT a body-builder, and my calves are much smaller than they were 20 years ago, but I could barely turn the tops down over my kilt flashes, and they had none of the bulk usually associated with a kilt sock. If you have skinny legs, they would be fine, I think - and yes, they're long enough.

NIce quality kilt sock for the price !
I purchased these based on reviews and am quite happy with my purchase ! They are nice and soft and are lighter weight so they are not too bulky. I have only worn them once so far but am very happy with the fit . This is a repeat order !

Grand fit. Color is perfect!
Tartan green compliments my Clan kilt perfectly, (MacLeod of Harris). If I wear a 'knockabout Black Watch kilt,' the hose are still quite appropriate. Well done, and thank you!

Color was good, material was lightweight
Length is for a much taller person than I am (5'6"). Would have had to fold down the top cuff 2x or more to get it below the knee. Returned it to vendor, who issued a refund.Other than that, hose seemed as advertised. Color was good, material was lightweight.

Great Quality
Bought these for my husband. Socks are made in Scotland and have very good craftsmanship. I would recommend these to any future buyers as these are a nice touch to any traditional kilt outfit.

Decent hose, slightly high on price.
These hose (socks) fit well and are well made. The color is good, they seems fit around my calves well and come all the way to the bottom of my knee before the fold. They stay up well, and the knit isn't too loose as to cause pain on the bottom of my feet from wear. If put these as medium quality hose. I'd like to see them cost less, but who wouldn't. I'd say they are fair to high on the price. You aren't likely to be disappointed in them. I'd also be happier if they were a prime item.

Of the pairs of Kilt Hose that I have, these are the softest. They also have the most interesting knitting pattern.
