I had to return the first one but they sent me out another before I even got the chance to send mine back so the customer service is top tier.The first one had a leaky valve problem I was really careful not to over-tighten the gas valve as this can lead to a leak in this type of setup. The replacement I was sent barely had to be tightened down to close off the gas. Also be sure not to overfill the canister with gas only fill for 3 seconds at a time, the valve cant handle much pressure unfortunately or this thing would be an amazing deal.When filled as directed in the instructions I usually get around 10 to 12, 12 second bursts at 80% power. Good torch for the money.***** UPDATEAs of 2/16/2020 this torch no longer holds a charge, it has been less than a month. If you fill it within an hour it will leak all the fluid out. It works nice at first but you'll notice it degrading soon after. This is the second one I got, the first one had the same problem and they exchanged me a new one. I should have got my money back the first time cause there is no way to refund an exchange. I would not recommend this. They send you out a shoddy torch then when it inevitably fails they send you out another junk torch knowing that you wont be able to refund the exchange. Pros:-Great flame; hot, controlled, and of a good size.-Surprizing amount of flame control with the knob.-Push-button starter always sparks well.-Metal everything except the detachable large base so it can stand, and the knob and button. The whole thing feels very quality. The knob and button both feel very very nice, and have a good action.-Large tank holds lots of butane, which should last for a long time.Cons:-The controls are only two stage; turn the knob to start/stop the gas, and an igniter. This is not a huge deal, and fairly common on this type of torch, but I personally prefer and on/off button for the gas as well as the adjustment knob, so it can be clicked off immediately, instead of having to turn the knob all the way down.-I have to tighten the knob WAY down to keep it from leaking gas when not in use. Now that I know that, it is not a big deal to do so, and it seems to hold a full tank for a long time.

I was a bit hesitant to purchased based on lack of reviews, but the build quality of this torch appears on the level. Feels great in hand; exceeded my expctations for the price point. Flame can be scaled up to a roaring blast (my propane blowtorch doesn't extend a flame out as far) or down to a pencil-thin jet. Totally worth it.

This is a great torch. It works really well and it has an adjustable butane valve so u can adjust the level of ur flame. On top of it all, it looks really cool. Best torch ive had thus far. I recommend

Ok well to be transparent originally I gave the torch a 1 star review because the first one I received leaked right out the box where the head meets the body or tank and I wasted quite a bit of fuel before realizing it so yeah i wasn't happy and left an angry review but I decided to give it another shot and even purchased another at an increased price even though it had changed prices three times over the last few days and was now a little bit more expensive which is just lovely. I'm sure I made a mistake somewhere in the return process thru amazon and probably could have received it at the same price because originally I wasn't going to give it another shot, but changed my mind because of some of the features that I did like about the dud. It seems solid and the ignitor is quiet and I only need to make one click of noise throughout the whole process of lighting it, setting it, and turning it off. The tank size and simplicity are also nice. I do wish they used a little bigger stand because although it seems fine and stands up straight with or without the stand i still feel like if your wrist bumps it slightly it could tip over a bit easier than i'd like it to especially if bumped towards the nozzle even just a bit could do the trick. Anyways once I received a new one it works beautifully and is capable of such a small flame it seems like a lighter and such a big flame that that it almost feels like a flame thrower which is really awesome. Just the questionable stand and the leaky first one and my worry that maybe it develops a leak in a similar spot has me giving it only a 4 out of 5 so maybe i'll change my rating down the road.

I have been using torches regularly for a variety of hobby-related purposes for over 25 years without incident, and I bought this to try out as an inexpensive "clone" replacement for my aging (8+ year old) Blazer.This torch was great initially, but after several weeks of regular use, the valve stopped closing all the way. Unfortunately, this was not immediately apparent in a well-lit room, as the resistance and feel of the valve did not change, and it felt the way it always had when closed. The valve felt closed, there was no sound of moving gas, and the flame appeared to be out, but it was not actually out, it was just extremely small. This ultimately resulted in a small fire and monitor damage in the vicinity of the torch. Luckily it was caught almost immediately and the damage was very minimal.I assume full responsibility for not verifying the torch was actually out, despite appearing that it was, but I wanted to share my experience with other potential buyers, and let them weigh the risks for themselves.It is too late for me to return this to Amazon (I did not open it for several weeks after receiving it), so I may see if any of the parts are worth salvaging for use on other torches, but then it's headed for the bin.
