This blanket has been a lifesaver! It’s completely waterproof. I tested it by pouring a glass of water on the beige fuzzy side. The water pools on top, then sinks in, but does not permeate through the rubber and get through to the red side.It was just what we needed for our senior Great Dane while we got her on medication for incontinence due to a weak bladder sphincter. She would leak while she slept, sometimes very large puddles. The blanket was so useful to be able to let her up on the couch during the day while making sure any possible leaks would not reach the couch.Now that she’s on medicine and no longer leaking at all, we still use this blanket on the couch because she loves it so much. I suspect the fuzzy side is reminiscent of a mama dog. We wrap her up in this when it’s cold and she falls asleep literally within seconds. The blanket is like a combo between a fuzzy blanket and a weighted blanket of comfort, due to the heavier rubber in the middle.Washing: this washed fine in an LG Tromm washer and dryer. I washed it on delicate with plenty of soap and extra rinse. To dry, I put it on the lowest temperature setting on very low tumble and ran it a few times until it was dry. The fuzz did not clump together as some have reported. I hope this is the case for future washes. The trick might be getting it as dry as possible with the right temperature without affecting the rubber, and reducing the number of times it tumbles to prevent matting. Even then, it may be possible to brush over the fluff when it’s done.Scent: there was a chemical scent until I washed it once. I recommend washing it first because dogs have such sensitive noses.

Got 2 of these to keep my dogs wet dirty feet from damaging the new couch. Probably should get one more to make sure everything is covered. They look and feel great. Thplush side is super soft. My dog decided to eat a pen and thanks to this throw the ink did not stain the furniture, just the blanket. Great product so far!

So far, it’s holding up to the abuse of an 8wk old shepherd puppy - and staying waterproof. If it doesn’t last a few washings, I’ll update this review. But otherwise, its large enough to cover the couch and we got another one for the bed. It’s soft, has some weight, and the reversible fabrics work well on both sides. Overall, this is a good blanket!

This blanket is so soft on both sides. And the absorbency is amazing!! Whether you're using it for pets or yourself, its well worth the money. I've paid double or more for "waterproof" blankets that are smaller and this one is still the best one I've come across.It washes and drys so easily too!I would definitely recommend this blanket! And will be buying another in the future!

I havea great dog bed but it is a pain to change and wash. My older poodle was letting me do it weekly, but no more. Aside from the fluffy comfortable value, I really got this waterproof blanket to protect that bed and it has done that perfectly. Just rinse it off with the hose, pop it into the washer and you are ready to go. Bought the smaller size first. Mistake. You want an over-sized blanket to insure the bed stays protected. Can't beat this product. Well-made too.

Very soft and fluffy on one side and flat and soft on the other side. I use this for my cats. They love it

I have purchased 6 of these and they are beautiful and perfect for use with a small dog/puppy.

It matches the color of particular piece of furniture I need covered, but the material is very disappointing. I didn't expect much given the price, and neither should you.

I have 3 of these! Bought a big one for the car and 2 for my puppy just to lay around on. The non fluffy side is the waterproof part and it has worked so well with my puppy when she’s have accidents. The fluffy part is so soft! Washing it is easy. I throw it in the dryer plus hang dry for 24 hours.

It is definitely waterproof and is a good size, enough to cover the queen bed with an incontinent yellow lab!

The plush side holds a bit of liquid if soiled heavily. Overall, the waterproof blanket is a success.
