Clarisea Rapid Detox Charcoal Face Exfoliant, 5 Ounce

I rarely buy skincare products online. I have an expensive and extensive skincare routine in place via my dermatologist. I have light adult acne, mostly hormonal, and I was looking for a cheaper alternative for an exfoliator. This stuff actually works. I blend it with my face wash and let it sit on my face for a minute or two while in the shower. Since it contains charcoal, it pulls a lot of gunk to the surface of your skin. Post shower, I like to clear my pores manually or via a face mask to get a layer off of my face. I wouldn't recommend using this daily, 2-3x a week would be more than fine Great for the summertime when you sweat with makeup on. It's always good to get rid of the buildup! Would purchase again.

I got a sample size of this in a recent monthly beauty box. I have rosacea and this stuff really seemed to help.One word of advice, though. If you have sensitive skin, be very careful. If you mix too much in with whatever cleanser you're using or just use it with water, you might do more harm than good. I accidently injured my skin by mixing too much with my normal cleanser then used a cloth to rub my skin. I had a bad reaction from the harshness of the scrub part. Now I just put in enough that I get a more gentle scrub action, if any scrub action at all. I think just the salt dissolved into the cleanser along with the charcoal works wonders. When I use this properly, it does leave my skin soft and the redness does seem to be diminished.

I've always had really bad acne and have to exfoliate almost everyday to keep it somewhat under control. The only thing that ever shows quick results is ocean water (ocean salt specifically) and charcoal. I was nervous when I first got it because I thought it'd be like ever other "easy on the skin" exfoliator on the market. But this stuff comes as a powder that I can add to any face wash to have as much exfoliation as I need, it's amazing.

I love this stuff. It's really nice to mix with a hydrating cleanser, as I'm sure it has the potential to be drying. The first time I used it I noticed a big difference in how smooth my skin was. It exfoliates nicely and I mix it in with my cleanser about every 2-3 days or so. I also imagine that this bottle will last forever, so it's a great deal. Be careful not to get it in your mouth, it's salty!

Love it! Like others, I received this as part of a Birchbox package. A little lasted a long time, and I was glad I could find it on Amazon. I mix mine with a Cetaphil-like cleanser. That way, I can control how much exfoliant I want. This is now part of my normal routine: I use the Clarisea exfoliant every other day, rotating it with other products (alphahydrox, etc.)

I originally discovered this product in a beauty bag subscription service. It's a fantastic exfoliant and leaves my face really smooth. You can either mix it with face cleanser or use it alone, depending on how strongly you want to exfoliate. It's one of my favorite new products.

I love this product it does exactly what it says it does. You only need a little bit or a lot to get the job done you decide it’s your choice.
