Yes it needs batteries, specifically “Ghost Batteries” because the batteries have a ghosts soul in it and that is what makes its choices on the board. Make sure you get the battery with the name ZoZo on it!!!

Yes! Please let me share my horrible experience and cautionary tale to prevent others from suffering my fate. I used this board, and my house filled up with demons.! They were everywhere! And demons, being totally undomesticated agents of chaos, will completely wreck your house… throwing plates against the wall, burning the carpet… it’s a real nightmare!!! And if you’re expecting company to drop by - which I was of course - you not only have to clean up all that mess in a hurry, you’ll need a full-on exorcism to get rid of all those wicked little monsters! An exorcism! I mean who’s got time for that nonsense?? I’m important and I’ve got better things to do than hang out with a bunch of priests from the spiritual swat team all night and chant a bunch of mystical cantations. Trust me… this board is just way too much work and trouble! I thought the demons I summoned would do cool things like smiting my enemies and devouring their souls for all of eternity, but instead it’s like your home is struck by some evil little swarm of hurricanes. I feel so ripped off! And on top of all that, I’m still trying to get out all the otherworldly stains those lil devils left behind on various surfaces. Definitely steer clear of this dysfunctional little board!
